  1. Who is sponsoring him now? How come he so lazy to get a job and earn his own keep? ST Apr 8, 2011 Adventurer Khoo Swee Chiow to climb Everest again By Neo Wen Tong ADVENTURER Khoo Swee Chiow is at it again. He will be attempting to climb Mount Everest for the third time, as part of a eight-mountain expedition in collaboration with AirAsia X, the Malaysian based long-haul, low fare affiliate of AirAsia. The expedition, Altitude X, will see Mr Khoo scaling eight of the highest peaks in AirAsia X's network - Mount Everest in China, Ben Nevis, Scotland, Mont Blanc, Western Europe, Mount Damavand in Iran, Mount Fuji in Japan, Hallasan in South Korea, Yushan in Taiwan, and Mount Cook in New Zealand. Other than the mountains in Scotland, South Korea and New Zealand, Mr Khoo is no stranger to the rest. He will be leaving Singapore on Friday for Chengdu, where he will then travel to Tibet and start the expedition by - once again - scaling the highest peak in the world. The expedition is planned to take until December to complete. Mr Khoo first scaled Mount Everest in 1998, and the second in 2006. He will be the first person in South-east Asia to scale it thrice. Said the 47-year-old: 'If possible, I'd love to climb Mount Everest again when I'm 50, 60 or even 70, if health permits.'
