  1. Do you know roughly how much mileage dealer will adjust to deceive buyers? It is not 20% or 30%. They adjust as low as you will believe. My friend sold his Honda jazz to a dealer, mileage was at more than 250K. The car was full of problems when mileage was from 150+km onwards. The dealer adjusted it to 120km when advertising it for sale. They will choose a mileage to “match” the car condition in a way that you will believe. They know if adjusted to say less than 100KM, it’s too obvious and buyers will not believe. Maybe I should track down the buyer and inform him so that he can take necessary recourse / compensation / refund / legal actions against the dealer, whichever he chooses. You want insider? My car dealer friend told me ALL his cars are mileage adjusted. This is “Industry Practice”.
  2. How long did it take for you guys to get used to the work culture, environment, job scope, and colleagues at your new workplace? Generally a change of new job can seem daunting to many. Not knowing what to expect and whether you will like the people you work with.. Would be great if you guys can share the dos and donts of surviving at your new workplace especially if it’s a totally new industry from what you’ve done previously. Thanks!
  3. Hi all Is there a proper way to adjust our car seat to get the best driving position? Can share what you know and what you do? Nowadays cars come with telescopic steering wheel. My ride is equipped with it but I never adjust it all.
  4. Only saw one topic in regards to it. But anyone adjusted it. Why? example the cable is slack. But acceleration is fine but very weak to climb up hill and feel acceleration pedal have a mild vibration when accelerating. My mounts is due to be replaced but does it have any link to it.
  5. Guys, My ride is having tein ss with 225/40/18 tyres. should i adjust the tyres pressure then the suspension or the other way? Should i set my suspension firm and lower the tyre pressure? because right now my ride is abit harsh when going over uneven road but on flat surface its very firm.
  6. i know you guys are gonna tell me not to, but im going to ask anyway anyone knows of some cheap mechanic that can adjust my fuel tank meter to show 75%? i want to top up my fuel in jb or whats the best time to go jb (maybe super early in morning 3,4,5am?) and there is no one to check. what time do the the officer sleep? please dont scream at me guys... im trying to cut costs.
  7. Its not a joke, I did some experiment from 0.028 to 0.055" with a Mallory coil. Performance at 0.055" gives me the best performance and definitely best FC since I step less to get the same power. Engine is smoother, acceleration better. If you are sticking with stock coils, you can also experiment by increasing your gap a little and see if you gain anything. If you increase too much, you will get misfiring. If you do, then reduce the gap a little and that will be your ideal gap. Unfortunately, I didn't stick with 0.055" for long before under full boost, it will misfire (expected from Turbo cars). Recommend gap for Turbo cars is around 0.028-0.03 only.
  8. Anyone knows how to adjust rear brakes? my brakes feels spongy after changing pads and bleeding was done. And i checked that the rear brakes need to be adjusted. Saw my mech adjust something near the wheel hubs. Anyone know where to adjust them?
  9. Oil price lo liao, why nv adjust fast and lower price. Wah piang, once crude price go up, the oil companies rush to raise price within the same day.
  10. Hi bros, Does anyone know if the N16 FL have any screws for adjusting rpm? In the good old days, the carbs have 3 screws that can be adjusted - auto choke, idling rpm, aircon idling rpm. thanks very much for your advice.
  11. Using its hardware control button, there is a fixed pre-set to how much I could adjust the brightness/contrast of my notebook LCD screen. Even at its minimum setting, the brightness is still too high for my comfort. Is there any software I could download to fine-adjust the brightness of my screen? My eyes are painful!
  12. As above. prefer west side. Reputable shops in JB also can i don't need to do alignment. Just need to adjust height, then let the car "settle in" before going in to my usual JB tyre shop for alignment. intend to lower my BC coils to lowest (or near lowest) setting i got these from FK less than a yr ago btw, already adjusted height once after installation so not sure if he will do it again for me FOC. besides, it's in the east side, same distance as JB is for me
  13. Can anyone shed some light on this? The gain of my amp is set very low, everything i try to turn it up a little... i get hissing sound already. Whats the cause and any solutions for this?
  14. Hi all , today i have go to do my 4 wheel alignment coz when on straight rd my car pull the right. The mech. set up the system and told me that my front left chamber is out by 1 degree. The computer show front left 2.15 degree and front right 1.10 degree(both shld b 1.1 degree +- 0.4). He told me for lancer front chamber is unadjustable so recommanded me to change 1 of the bolt at the bottom of the adsorber to a cam type of bolt then he can adjust the alignment. Then my rear right lower arm that tie to below the passagner door is also abit out. Mech. told me cause of this is due to hard knock. but i dont remmember i got any hard knock before. He also comment that lancer material are soft and this are common problem for lancer. My ride is lancer cs3'04 just only 16 mnth. Anyone have the same exprience? Is the adsorber under warranty? Btw i m going to CnC tomolo for a check.
  15. Newbie here..... Anyone knows whether is there a need to re-calibrate the speedo after a change in rim size? Where to do it? My stock is 185/60/14.....thinking of changing to 195/50/15
  16. Hi all, I just purchased a Momo Steering Wheel, and got my mechanic to install it in for me (nominal $10 fee) Everything works fine, except the steering wheel is a few degrees off-centre. I removed the horn button/plate, and removed the locking nut, but I can't seem to get the steeringwheel and boss kit off the hub. I read somewhere that there is a steering wheel removal kit...does anyone know where to get it? I was wondering if anyone has advice on removing a steering wheel by force, WITHOUT spoiling the alignment or the collapsible part of the steering wheel. Thanks in advance.
