  1. NBz...just clocked 25posts after being the 1st few members here.... RT615...215/45/17 $185 200/A/A vs 595EVO...225/45/17 $135 240/AA/A Narrow down to these 2 due to cost ,durability and decent dry and wet handling, not for track. Considerd F1Asym $210 and T1R $235. KU36 $175 no stock so out. Cost,AA rating and wider tire for the EVO do push me that way. Any inputs or suggestions?
  2. Hi all, might want to sell federal 595evo 205/45/16 as considering to upgrade. Bought in Jan 2010 (YOM late 2009) used less than 3000km. No patch before. Asking $380. Will dekit when there is buyer. Tks.
  3. Ok, here it goes after some 1k+ Its very quiet for a tire that is classified as a tire for motorsports. My previous CPC and Maxxis is much noisier than this. I can hear the tire roar once speed exceed 80km/h. For this, even at 90km/h, I only hear the engine note. Have not tried NSH on it though. My unscientific explanation for this maybe because of the silica compound used. It toes the line very well and points to nose to where you want it to go. As my suspension is not stock and its lowered, it handles extremely well. I can't comment on stock Octy suspension. Tried taking a junction right-hand 90deg turn at 40+/50km/h before and tires didn't squeal. No understeer too. Perhaps not fast enough but in city driving ..... In the wet, its also quite grippy as I've tried 3 digit figures. Cut through puddles comfortably, not that I purposesly look for puddles. The only downside is the low UTQG (240/AA/A) which might wear down faster than the other tires. As for air pressure, Octy recommend 200/220kpa (front/rear) for normal load and 220/240kpa (front/rear) for full load. Tried the full load pressure before and the tire turns noisy. When reduced to my normally used pressure of 215/235kpa (front/rear), I felt very comfortable. Guess this is the optimum settings for me. Only bug-bear may be FC. So far it seems to increase my FC by around 5%. Would need to drive longer to see if this is consistent. Again, perhaps due to the lower UTQG, softer compound which leads to higher rolling resistance and hence, higher FC (my unscientific explanation).
  4. Hi guys, like to know if anyone used the Federal 595 or 595EVO? Like to gather some feedback on these 2 tyres. Most likely I'm gonna change to the 595EVO. Currently using Toyo T1R 195/55/R15. I've read that the BMW-Sg forum guys are using the 595RS (semi-slick) and 595 for tracking.
