I would like to seek your kind advice for my BMW 320i that has 1 year left to COE expiry. A few months ago, I spent more than $2K to change 4 shock absorbers, some defective sensors and resolve some oil leaks. Even after repair, it seems that more repairs are needed as there is a soft low-pitch hum when I accelerate and I can hear knocking noises when I go over uneven roads. There are no knocking noises when my car has 3 passengers or when the car goes through speed humps. Should I continue to pay to rectify these problems or just sell the car and get a new Japanese or Korean car which should be more reliable. The monthly cost for a new Altis is about the same as this BMW (~1K a month).

hi guys, greatly need help in identifying the below link, deposit only 20%? From calculation , roughly 18k depreciation but what is the hidden behind 20%? Anyone know how much can i push out of the BMW 320i turbo engine? I am guessing it can go much further than the output of 245hp from the 328i...

Understand for most BMW's above 5 years of age the gasket will tend to leak, so is there any other common problems or mechanical faults to really look out for judging that it's a 8 years old 320i. Advice needed, thanks.

Dear Sifu, need your advices on BMW 320i and 520i in 2008 model. Q1. How to identify a PI and AD model for 320 and 520? Q2. There are models with 320i, 320i XL and 520i and 520i XL. What does XL stand for? Q3. Will 520i underpower due to same engine as 320i as 156bhp for its weight? I saw the pricing difference no much for 320 and 520 but 5 series have larger sapce and features like i-Drive and eagle Xenon light. I read the review 320i gives 9.8 sec (1475KG); FC 12.3km/l and 520i give 10.6 sec (1490KG); FC 8km/l. Q4. It seems that there is a different engine to provide 170HP for 520i. This is a PI model right? Q5. Any recall and potential problems on these 2 models from 2008? Thx for inputs.

Hi Guys, Friend is changing ride soon and cannot decided between these 2. He's pretty much leaning towards the 320 but heard lots of horrible stories abt the reliability of it. IS250 on the other hand is pretty much bullet proof as it's sharing Toyota parts but he finds it boring. Any advise on the pros and cons of these 2 rides?

Hi guys, i am looking at getting a used a BMW but am undecided between 3 or 5 series, for a similar registration year, px difference is around $15K and OMV difference is around $10K. When I work out depreciation, the difference is around $1k per month, $10k+ for 3 series & $11k+ for 5 series... which will be a better choice? Thanks!

Any one can suggest a nice sounding setup for my friend who is driving a new BMW 320i. The car has no tweeter at all! She complain the sound is not nice. How much to change the door speakers and add subwoofer? Any reliable shop that can do BMW and is not so expensive. Please recommends an above average set up. Thanks.

Giving me headache.. Spoilt for choice. Following factors to consider: (1) Exterior (2) Interior (3) Pricing (4) Horsepower (5) PML package vs C&C package (6) High Overtrade? Frankly speaking, I prefer BMW. But in terms of the above criteria, I felt that MB has the slight edge above BMW. Another BIG headache..... Buy from AD or buy from PI????? Bros/sis, please kindly advise..

With budget of around $90k... I know they are totally different type of cars... But for now, both suit my current need... Have drove Jap & Korean so thinking of owning a Conti car next... Ur feedback would be appreciated, thanks in advance. Cheers.

Any one here got experiences or own a BMW 320i coupe or cab? Understand only PI bring in this model, the base model sold at PML is the 2.5L IL6. Can indent from PML the 320i and currently whats the PI price? :)

Heard that Performance Motor will accept orders on special indent basis for the 320i manual. What's more, it comes at a price $6K lower than the Steptronic base model (both without i-Drive). Anyone got more info on this, or are working on a special indent deal with Performance on this - to bring in their manual E90 3-ers? Not bad if you want to keep a cheaper-to-maintain BMW in the long term. And go-faster too! I bet the 325i variant will be even more fun to drive on a manual tranny. Now that would be (only) $160+K, based on current prices.
