My mit grandis hit 100k. call c&c was quoted $1300(after 25% discount ) for timing belt, water pump, seals, etc. Im going to buy parts from stockists and head to JB w/s. Anyone suggest a gd w/s in JB? tks.

I've just found out that in order to retain your current license plate number, you got to fork out $1300 to do the transfer. This is where you transfer your existing plate number to a already registered vehicle. Whereas if you tranfer it to a new vehicle it's only $100. However, you have to come out with $1300 first and upon registration of your new vehicle then you'll get back $1200. Ok, my question here is. Where does this money go to? It seems like easy money for the government. Just by do some easy paper work and they make $1300 for nothing!
