Swift heading north

Yo bros, thinking of heading further up than JB, is the old swift capable?? Heard Hoppe had done the round trip to Genting and KL.... U done ur servicing before hitting the road??

yup...been all the way up to Penang.

My advice..best to start at about 2am in the morning. Temp is cooler so it helps for our swift. Furthermore, less traffic and less speed checks.

Then if the peroduas can do it , why can't our swift?

 

I did service my car before my trip back in early 2004.

Impt :

1) Check coolant / radiator

For old cars, heating up is a major problem.

2) All belts

3) Major hoses

 

also, get at least one contact of a local Malaysian mechanic for SOS purpose.

You will never know...even new cars break down.

Don't worry too much. If your car is well maintained, it shouldn't have any problem getting to KL/Penang and back.

don't worry lah...

if we go there in a group, chances of all of us breaking down is not high lah...

So we can bring less spare tyres, can share parts, etc.

If we all break down, we can all go drink kopi somewhere along the N-E highway.
