Rolla, thanks for your confirmation.

steadfast, engine immobilizer is sort of locking your engine electronically with secret code stored in your keys. so even you duplicate the keys and can open the car, you still can't start the engine until it's get unlock electronically

hope that answers?

Hi Rolla

My understanding is that only L-series model( 7 speed version) are fitted standard with Engine immobilizer. The G-series does not have it.

Cheers!

Guess the immobiliser will take effect lets say if you use a duplicate key and starts the car, drive for a certain distance or a period of time(not really sure how far or how long) and the engine will actually cut off and stall...

That is what I was told [rolleyes]

Hi Airwave owners,

Anyone has any idea how much will Airwave body fetch in 4 - 5 years time? Was told that Toyoat Wish body can fetch to a high of 15k for a 2-3 years car. Wish and Airwave price not much diff. Isn't it Wish is more value for $$$?

Rolla, I don't think it works this way. Can any current owner check if you do have this little key lighted up as shown in the attachment? thanks!

Owen,

Not too sure how much it will fetch since Airwave is relatively new here but it's sure catching up on popularity fast.

Airwave pricing is close to Wish XE if you get the moonroof option. Moonroof it'a a lifestyle statement that Wish can't provide you, more for youthful & adventurous people with small family. if you looking for 7 seater, then Wish should be your choice. (assuming you are still deciding between airwave or wish)

Also for Wish, do remember you have to pay more for everything (Petrol, Insurance, Road tax). Hopefully the rumours about increasing parking fees for MPV is not true.

bottomline, it's now you want to use your car. imho, resale value is hard to predict but Honda & Totota are 2 brands with, generally, good resale value.

Really nice car...agree it's like a lifestyle statement.

What's the airwave w/ moonroof price these days? Saw the ads in the papers...really attractive, but when enquire at PI, easily 7-8K more.

[sweatdrop]

Any recommended PIs from those who bought?
