Airwave - 5 seater.

See to believe.

See to believe in term of photo? you have to sit in one to determine for yourself whether it is a true 5 seaters. It based FIT plaform so can't be more spacious than a Civic VTI at the rear cabin.

Regards,

Thanks! Did you trade in your existing or just get new car? Cos SE told me they will reduce 5% of PARF value for existing car but my friend who just bought Madza, SE took in the full PARF value [confused]

hup long sells cheap no doubt. No frills kind. But just to be sure, shop around asking for OMV. Insist on contract stating OMV being a certain amt... U just can't take what any salesman says.

Any PI can sell cheap, it's a matter of whether what is the OMV based on. Because the selling price which any PI quotes u is based on following things(assuming very basic stock model):

1) OMV

2) ARF - 110% x OMV

3) Custom Duty - 20% x OMV

4) GST - 5% x (OMV + Custom Duty)

5) COE

Looking at the above: ARF, Custom Duty and GST are all based on OMV. Dun u think you wanan be careful? a 1K OMV difference can result in a diff selling price of almost 2-3k approximately.

Conclusion: Just watch the OMV n COE.

Thanks! So Airwave is actually 'shorter' than Civic. Errr so is Civic more spacious?

(edited)

As we all can see,

contary to our perception, Airwave is has the widest interior space - slightly wider than Civic in front and rear interior. Civic has the longest wheel base. Fit has the tallest headroom, Civic has the longest seat base. As Airwave sharing the same platform as Fit, they only appear to share the same front/rear wheel thread width 1455/1445 dimension. As much as we'd all like to believe, Fit/Jazz is not the narrowest of them all.

Not sure about that. Honestly, I was considering between Airwave & Edix at that time- I decided Edix, nicer In & Out look/ Better finishing/ Spacious/ 1.7l/ handling is good(due to wide wheel base). My advice- go & look at both, sit in & feel.

Thanks! Sound chim to me [laugh]

The problem is most of the PIs bring in with skyroof only so cant compare OMV w/o skyroof. Any idea any other PI brings in w/o skyroof?

well depends on what you term as spacious.

dimensionally, in terms of interior space volume, Airwave will feel more spacious for its wider width and higher headroom. But for those with longer legs, Civic will be more 'spacious' for the legs.

How's the petrol consumption for Edix? I am in sales so its a big concern to me. I saw both Airwave & Edix in Hup Long showroom and quite like Airwave...

The cheapest I found is $72988 for skyroof and $68988 w/o skyroof. Like the car very much so trying to find out more. Still deciding to get wif or w/o skyroof [:/]

IMHO, Airwave is special bcos of its skyroof. If u buy Airwave w/o skyroof then what is so special or the point? [;)]
