Skoda revised its Octavia range late last year, but hot vRS versions of the new model have been slow to arrive. They'll be launched by the end of the year, however - probably at the Frankfurt show this autumn - and as seen in these pics, they'll come in Combi estate form as well as five-door hatchback bodystyles. The new vRS will feature the 200bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, with FSI direct-injection technology, as in the Volkswagen Golf GTI. High-performance diesel vRS models, with the VW Group 160bhp 2.0 TDI engine - also to appear in the Golf GTI - are also on the way.

Is their strategy to get more Skodas on the road first before bringing in the new model?

 

By the time they bring in the new Octy.... the folks would've bought the new Focus, Astra, Megane, etc.

No lah, Had Hear new that the Octy II cost to much duc to Euro dollars, So to sell in spore will cost about 100k, for a 1.6CC one ah. Not a 2 lites one.

therefore there r bring in more Octy (Tour).

 

Dont know why the price different so much from new Focus, Astra, Megane, etc.

Maybe control by VW, that why it still a bit Expensive!

Just need a fierce mafia body kit to go, can visualize more skodas on the rd alr given a cheaper option with 200bhp... Bloody volvo drivas, bimmers and A4s had better watched their back..
