Any1 sharing similar ordering timing as me?

Placed order in End Sep.

COE finally got it in Dec(1st bid).

Dealer said delivery in end Jan 2016.

That is about right. Car should be in Singapore now.

Went to test drive the HR-V over the weekends as I don't think there are Vezel for test drive anywhere.

Felt that the car isn't the most powerful but more importantly the engine seems to be a bit noisy once I step on the accelerator. I didn't even get to drive very fast as Ubi is quite busy on Sat evening.

Just wonder if anyone compared between Vezel and HR-V before? Is the DOHC engine in the Vezel more powerful and more importantly quieter as compared to the HR-V? Thanks.

Test drove the HRV and fren's vezel before finally deciding to buy the vezel x last apr. So far the difference i personally feel is. Vezel is more powerful at higher speeds. Not sure ur SE directed u to the airbase area, there can test for pick up, driving at slightly higher speeds, and cornering at the mini roundabout... Usually there is not much traffic there. In start stop situations, seems like both the car is same to me. Both cars are about the same in noise. To me its noisy compared to my previous honda civic.

I collected my car in end nov, driving till now, even aft the 1k servicing, fuel consumption is about 12 - 13km/l on avg for me. Most of the time is empty car, only me 1 person, driving around 70%city / 30% hw. Light-footed, everything stock, no sound proofing done yet. Pump SPC 98. Consumption is worst then my civic. Hopefully it improves overtime.

Thanks for sharing bro. I am ok with the pickup even though it's not really fast but it's the noise that bothers me slightly. I could hear the pretty loud roar when I step on the accelerator a bit and over time not sure if it will cause fatigue when driving for a longer period of time .. Was hoping the Vezel will be quieter since its engine is slight better

When driving at hw speeds, the road and wind noise will be louder then the roar. Just turn up the radio  [laugh]

Bro. SeRch back part I thread. Compared in the past before. I personally felt hrv is quieter but it is known that dohc is noisier than sohc because of the direct injection. Definitely more powerful and responsive for the vezel. If you feel hrv is noisy, vezel will be noisier.. But thete is always aftermarket soundproofing. And when you use w30 or w20 oil after your first svcing...eng will be quieter. My take is dont compromise on eng performance just because of nlise. And hrv is priced unfavourably compared to vezel, not to mention lower specs and features.

Hi guys,

The Mazda 6 is one of my shortlisted cars but I have questions about the in-car entertainment system. I tried playing back music from my iphone using the Bluetooth at the showroom, but the volume is very soft. Need to turn up to almost 30 or so before can hear anything. Is that normal?

What about the USB connection? Can we connect iphone via USB to the Mazda and control the song playing from there or is the USB for thumbdrive only?

Lastly, some reviews on Sgcarmart said that USB playback got problem in that it doesn't resume from last song played, but always go back to the first song in alphabetical order. Is this still happening on the latest model of the 6?

Hi,

The format of the audio file also play a part in the volumn of the music.

I tried MP3 (Volumn 20-30) and MP4 (Volumn 10-20) and MP4 gives a louder music for my Non-FL m6.

For the problem of resume last song on the Non-FL M6 can be resolved by changing Bluetooth module. Mine changed and no more of this problem. Thanks to bro Bummer for asking this upgrade from EuroKars.

Bro you FC quite bad sia...

Did you use w20 or w30 after your 1k servicing?

I did soundproof on all doors, also 70/30 city/hw, 18" rim, FC was 14.5km/l before 1k servicing.

After 1k servicing FC was 15+km/l, and engine is more responsive and slightly more quiet.

FC:

All the specs stated for any cars any model, are probably based on super light footed, no over-taking kind of driving etc.

So you can't really think of achieving what is stated in the spec. (My uncle 7-series BM spec says 14km/l but when he drives its only6-7km/l)

From some vezel owners i know, 17km/l is achievable. (19-20km/l for hybrid)

It really depends on your driving habits, maintenance, accessories that makes weight difference, tyres, city/highway etc

AC:

Fast & cold, i on speed 1 at 23deg most of the time. Only when car is hot under sun then i one speed 3 awhile.

But rear passenger will need slightly longer time to feel cold.

Keyless:

Yes.

by right your final payment should be max 1 week to min of 3 days before getting your ride as most of the dealer want to make sure your cheque can go through first.

They mentioned that once the car passed the relevant tests from authority, before any additional installation commence (such as leather seat,HU,solar film etc), they will collect the final payment.
