As I said, Kah is aggressive with bidding. None of those low price but no COE tricks...

Some PIs r better than that. They secure COEs in advance for potential buyers

Secure Coe in advance for potential buyers means what? Open Coe?

Paddle shifting may seem like nonsense on a CVT and in a way it is, because a CVT will only 'emulate' discreet gear ratios that are predefined, rather than allowing you full control over precise selection of exact ratio you may desire (which would be tricky to implement anyway, the only easy way is to hold -/+ until it hits the correct ratio, but then that takes too long for 'sporty' driving), but the fact is that it does mean you have some direct control over how your CVT gets your power to the wheels, and for that matter in the comfortable method of paddle shifters.

 

I don't think Honda has a manual gate on the stick (i.e. a position where you can push up/down for manual control) so without paddle shifters, no manual mode. But if you are the kind who never even thinks of meddling with your transmission's decisions, paddle shifters are not worth dropping for other equipment you may consider more valuable. I wouldn't demand paddle shifters over additional safety equipment for example.

 

For most part I only take full sequential manual control of my car from time to time as a 'fun exercise', but on a fairly regular basis, daily even, I do use my paddle shifters.

I find Vezel reasonably comfortable to ride in on just mild/general road undulations, but chuck some bumpy tarmac at it and it gets really busy. But I come from a different sort of ride.

2) Another head unit matter is whether you like HondaLink (which is more tightly integrated to the car and comes with steering wheel controls that are confirmed to work), or prefer those aftermarket which can be more feature packed. Also HondaLink has those annoying touch-sliders for volume control...

3) I got a pretty good voice control system and I don't even use it. Prefer to use my fingers

4) Easy to do, but some people like original one. May be a resale factor. But your taste is most important.

5) I agree that the black clad trim looks better. Adds to the so called off-roader look.

6) Factory leather is often better in quality and worksmanship than our local leather. Not always, but usually. Our dealers like to skimp on this and they only do so because the JDM cars usually come in with fabric (more popular there) and locals here prefer leather due to perceptions of luxury.

 

And no, paddle shifters are pretty tricky to implement as aftermarket mods.

I signed my vezel with a PI in Apr last year at 120k. Only managed to get the car in last few days of Nov, 1 day before the TCOE expires. If given a choice, i would have gone to AD if they are bringing MIJ HRV during that time. During that time, PI vezel and AD HRV is almost 10k difference.

 

My experience with my PI is that right after you collected your car, there is totally NO AFTERSERVICE. No help when i told them car was scratched when i check at the strong lights at petrol station (i didn't notice during collection as my car was dirty and wet due to the rain and they parked outdoors). When my car has issues, i approached them for help, they just push you away like dirt saying they can't help as they are not the experts. Their appointed warranty workshop also didn't want to honour the parts citing "wear and tear" for a car less then 9 mths old. With no choice, I have to fork out money to fix up the defective parts.

 

This would be my first and last time buying from a PI  [furious]

And the PIs helped to force Kah to bring the HRV from Japan, so all credit to the brave bros who helped.

 

Moving ahead, let's hope this kind of pressure can be extended to other models / makes.

 

If Kah gets cocky, they may be punished as people will vote with their wallets. 

 

My friend was so pleased with the build quality. Almost spat at the Civic and the Mobilio ... her facial expression would have been great on a Honda ad  [:p]

Sorry you had such a bad experience - you should name the PI.

Be assured that you bought a solid car, and apart from the scratches it's a lovely car - at least now you won't feel so much heart ache when you see the first scratch by someone else :)

It will give you many years of solid motoring and pleasure.

Spotted a white left hand drive HRV with moonroof at Ubi just now! CD plate. Driven by amdk. Diplomatic car? I think it has a 1.8 litre SOHC engine

Bro, that is not possible. Unless u pay the price that is higher than Kah motor.

Mine indicate 6 bid guaranteed, only got it at the 8 bid. Reason given is maybe Coe will drop and u will get rebate.

 

Took total 6 mth to get car, reason given is LTA inspection. LTA delay.

I got mine within 2 weeks from PI.

Could have been faster but I was only available during weekends & a minor admin messed up like I mentioned in an earlier post.... Because of that, I actually saved a few k.....

New recall for Vezel Hybrid due to brake problem. The affected cars were manufactured from 23 Feb 2016 to 4 July 2016. 

 

Affected chassis nos: RU3-1200021 ~ RU3-1214074 

 

The fault is due to a error in the VSA software which affects the braking performance of the car. May cause accidents, Affected cars should not use VSA until the software is reprogrammed to latest version
