This and when the aircon cooling becomes less powerful, the engine restarts again to kick in the compressor

You can try offing the aircon when you stop, the idle-stop function takes longer to kick in lol

If I'm not wrong, during temporary engineer stop, the aircon compressor is off too. But the fan is still on to recycle the cold air inside the cabin..

You are right bro. Anyway the start stop is dependent on your charge at the edlc unit (i.e. the extra component at the spare tyre compartment). Sometimes, it may not work also if you just start the car and did not go a certain distance to hold the charge.

I visited TLC Cars at turf city today. They offered quite a good deal, $112.8k 4 bid guaranteed, COE rebate at $51k for Hybrid X. However, couldn't find much reviews on TLC's reputation. Their appointed workshop is Hitachi or Sime Darby, so I guess should be alright.

Bros here have any views or experience on buying from TLC?

The alternative dealer I'm considering is autolink but the salesperson told me that their appointed workshop is optima, which from what I've read is better for continental cars.... they charge quite ex for japanese cars.

Hope bros can share some advice please. Thanks!

I have got this same problem too. I assume it is because I might have loosen my foot on the brakes a bit hence (A) disabled.

also sometimes no matter how fully depressed I press, the (A) did not get activated...zz...

also anyone encounters the FC ring not going to GREEN even after you brake the vehicle fully at traffic lights and accelerate again.

you are 1 lucky chap!

gonna collect it before CNY!

wats your previous ride?

PI seems very busy to deliver his orders before CNY. I believe my cheque was cleared last mon. He had it registered on Wed. Probably driving it around to install the accessories? [dead]

Previous ride was a 308

Hi bro, heard hybrid X is coming out new facelift. many try to clear their remaining stock.  Optima will charge you like crazy. parts are free, but labour is super high!!!  the markup end up still earning money.

Try to get your car from direct importer.  Autolink is not bad, Carzworld, Huplong etc.  all in ubi.  Carzworld in vertex ubi ave 3.

Bro.. Buying Price is important, Freebies are great to have... But what is very important is the PI authorised workshop.

Dont forget to go and visit the PI  Authorised workshop as your car servicing and warranty is tied to the car PI authorised workshop and

Go and audit the condition of their workshop  your PI has tied up with.., how it is managed and how  the cars are being handle from the moment you hand in  your keys to them and how they service your cars.

- Are they using the right tools for the right job. ?

- Do  they ask you for permission to meddle with your add-ons?

- Do they inspect your paintwork of your new car to say  show where the scraches or dents are if any. What happens at handover if you discover that there are scratches on your paintwork ?

- How many appointed authorised ws do they have if you are not happy?

Suggest you  do your due diligence before you sign the dotted line.

Speaking from a very horrible and upsetting experienced...

PPS treatment

===========

Hi guys, can the car goes under rain immediately after PPS treatment?

Thank you very much

Hi LightingJ,

Price and freebies are important.

But the PI's reputation, ability to deliver on time and the post-sale warranty/workshop are equally important to consider.

Just need to do your homework (especially dealing with "creative" PIs) and ask around (visit various websites) before committing.

103k seems abit high compared to the one i just got.. but it might be a reputable PI so maybe not so bad.

as advised by other bro, do your own research before signing.

once sign that's it.. no more nego already. haha..

Some standard freebies might not be the same from PI to PI.. so better to ask them to write down black and white.. up to the exact model number.. some of just write Pioneer system.. get them to wrong model number..

Hi guys, much appreciate for sharing of ur inputs!

Yeh, sourcing from reputable PIs so as to save myself from any headaches after signing. Will go check on the workshop, had initially thought I can skip this n go directly to my trusted workshop after purchase.. 1st time buying new car when my current is a 2nd-hand which was pretty fuss-free.

Will probably confirm the purchase soon. :)

Just to clarify, I am just a Car owner & not affiliated to any PI... Just to share my experience...

I got my ride in Dec'14 from TLC @ Turf City. Speaking from my experience, the Boss (Timothy) [thumbsup] whom dealt with me is very good, responsible & sincere. He really did all he can to help in answering to my needs, be it Downpayments, Loans, Accessories & etc..

Even after collecting my ride for few months, he did offer me another In-car accessory FOC. Later part, the SE (Roland) whom was introduced to me was also good. I dare not say their price are bottom-cheap, but their services do made me felt comfortable.   [nod]

As for the Service Centre, I went to Hitachi (Jun Taiyo) @ Lok Yang Road. It is very-very well organised. Unlike other established workshop where I dunno where they went & what they are doing on my car, at Jun Taiyo, I am able to witness the whole servicing process through their BIG Full Height Glass Wall facing the Workshop. They even have Japanese expatriate stationed there. I manage to clarify a few technical questions with them too, via their Plant Manager whom I happened to met with.

Overall experience at the workshop is very good as well.   [laugh]

That's my 2cents about TLC & Hitachi Workshop.   [:)]

There are many occassions that I encountered that the "Brake-Assist" will DEACTIVATE by itself, shortly after the Car was drove off from the Car Park. But somethimes, its behaving alright.   [confused]

In fact, such situation had resulted me with a minor accident with a Motocycle. After I had brake the Car at a Traffic Light, thinking that the Car was still on Brake-assist, I went to pick up something that had dropped to the floor. Unfortunately it has actually deactivated by itself & I din noticed it too. So it drifted forward slowly & kiss other ppl backside. Fortunately, no one was injured except my Car paint & my Heart.  [bigcry]

Did anyone have such experience or know why? How to countermeasure ?   [dizzy]

After this experience, I will ALWAYS peep for the Brake-Assist Lamp many many times during my ride.

Did you have to go into their work area to look for a service advisor yourself, or is that handled by the front desk, i.e. just register and they'll send out their advisor to you?
