Do you do very short trips <15km and in start stop traffic? If so, the fuel economy will be quite bad as the engine has not sufficient time to warm up.

Yes...I think my average journey per trip is only about 8km. But still hard to imagine the difference can be that big. Mazda 3's actual FC based on my driving style is only about the same as my old Toyota Vios but according to their specs on paper, Mazda 3 is supposed to be much better! That is very misleading to consumers! Looks like everyone else in this forum is happy about their Mazda 3's FC? Or is it no body cares about the FC when buying a Mazda?

Vezel got signal to turn left or not?? If not, I think deserve it.

I believe driver signaled. There's the signal relay clicking sound from the video but he probably did not signal in advance.

Just checking about the current promotion at Mazda. Is the free upgrade to luxury as good a deal as it sounds? Or is it during normal non promotions, one gets a discount anyway.

Looking at it, it would seem that even if the Coe dips by 6k, I would still have to fork out the same if I would buy the M6 luxury model. Seems more worthwhile as it has all the works with19 inch rims, sunroof and lane departure warnings etc etc which the premium model doesn't have.

After testing all the mid size sedans, this one still comes up tops in terms of looks and refinement. Ok, maybe the Q50 looks better inside, but that's almost 30k higher.

Still got a year left on my current Mazda, but only till 31 Aug noon to decide if I should buy now or later. Thanks for any inputs.

I think the culprits are either the agent or the importer. I did not realize this agent bought the Vezel from the Importer. The lesson learnt for new buyer is make sure you buy from the agent that import the car themselves. The agent keep telling me the car is stuck with LTA approval and put the blame on them. I have to do all the works and do the checking with LTA and VITAS and turn out they are real professional and transparent in advising you the status. The last status check was LTA told me they issued inspection notice to the dealer on last Saturday. I called the agent today and he told me the car is tuck with custom clearance? It does not sound logical...I am still trying to find out the real status...:-(

Called the sales manager on last Friday and she told me can get the car in 2 weeks...hopefully this is true and the long wait is over...

By the way how to distinguish the face-lift model from the previous one? Any quick and easy way to identify? Thanks....

The quickest way to differentiate is a look at the front grille

for the pre face-lift there would be a chrome strip

while for the 2016 facelift there will be a new design w/o an obvious chrome strip (has a much smaller one tucked under the inside of the grille)

Other obvious things would be new colours for the Face-lift like the crystal red above, and a few other colours such as cinnamon bronze

There are other differences such as Honda Sensing for some models) and auto dimming rearview mirror but those are less obvious :)

Well, let it "Run in",it may have better FC,also check your Tires pressure.

Thanks for the advice. For tire pressure, I follow the recommendation written on the door which is 250PSI, I think. It is significantly higher than the Vios I had before. For "run in", how long is enough?

I hate their current radio and entertainment system. There is no way to turn off the radio. You can only mute it. Every time you turn on the engine or switch from reverse back to forward gear, the radio is unmuted by itself. This is really annoying. Also it has this interference issue that until now TEK still cannot resolve for me. Thirdly, the reverse camera is not centered. That means if you follow the camera lines to reverse park, your car will not be at the centre of the lot.

FL or Pre FL Car does not come with mud guard. All mud guard is from TB but if you go honda access, there is a gunmetal color

OR if you mean the fenders all round? only Z has the all body colour while the rest is either black or gunmental (hybrid)

Hi all, Im driving vezel hybrid. I find the FC is not very accurate with the spec that they indicate. I only can get around 16.5km per L. I thought it suppose to be like about 18 to 20? Im still running in the engine so I did not high rev, plus moving off slowly when stationary.

Will it get better after I done the first 1000Km?

Did you drive under the same condition as how manufacturer test their vehicles?

Check the Mazda3 Thread or go Facebook join Mazda SkyActiv Society or SGMazdaClub, there are many who gets 15km/l.....

there are 3 figures quoted by manufacturers, one refers to crusing on expressway, another one refers to city, and one more refers to combined figures...

If you are only doing 8km per day, check what did they state for urban. It might not be too far off...

In a City like Singapore (especially if one faces peak hours traffic), most drivers are experiencing 80% city driving easily, and we should be looking at the fuel consumption for city (the higher consumption one)

How DO manufacturers test their vehicles? This site doesn't quite give clear enough information ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_economy_in_automobiles#Fuel_economy_standards_and_testing_procedures

100% highway, ease off accelerator and let it roll whenever possible. I did that and got 23km/l for my petrol but that is not practical. :D
