Ara 1st Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 Technically a Vezel except headlight different? So it still get the same halogen setup found in Vezel G model and the previous batch of HR-V? What about engine start-stop, Honda sensing, auto fold side mirrors, flat underbody pieces, L15B DOHC 130bhp engine, 8 airbags? Till date, I still find it very appalling that the OMV of a HR-V is higher than that of a mid range Vezel X model. How does a car with LED headlights, 8 airbags, newer and more powerful engine, better safety equipment (previous facelift before Honda Sensing version that comes with CTBA) be cheaper than another car that comes without all of this?? Thailand production cost is higher than Japan? That turbo 1.5 is very tempting.. If only Honda Jap places that into the Vezel. It will sell easily How much is the omv of vezel and hrv? ↡ Advertisement
teomingern 6th Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 (edited) Yes I faced the same situation at the start when I collected the car. There's a slight like click / jerk when the shifter enters P even though I am stopped when I shift too fast. I now try to shift the gears slowly be it whether early in the morning when starting up the car / parking. Then I read on the facebook group that quite a number of new owners are encountering this too and the more senior owners are advising to come to a stop fully and shift slower. The correct way to shift an automatic transmission is to come to complete stop before you move from D to P and vice versa. Best to step on your brakes to ensure car is at complete stop. Also must come to complete stop when engaging reverse gear. Never ever let the car roll and engage reverse, R. You'll kill your gearbox very easily. The click sound you all have been hearing is basically the gears grinding cos the car has not come to a complete stop. Likely you just step on the brakes, and then immediately shift to P or R or D, the torque converter hasn't had time to disengage properly cos the fly shaft is still spinning, and the gears don't mesh properly. Prolonged abuse like this will lead to early gearbox failure where your gears fail to engage and you'll have to replace the whole gearbox. Gingerdip 1st Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 (edited) Seriously considering Vezel, at a PI. (BW) I was quoted 2 models. Vezel Facelift at 109k Vezel Hybrid at 109k I just found out the parf of hybrid is real low, hence the depre is considerably higher than the petrol version. What is the resale of hybrid, if I were to use this new car for a few yrs and selling before hitting 5 yr old, would it be best to buy hybrid? I am worried the resale of a hybrid is difficult and its resale price would be lower than petrol Vezel of the same age years down the road. My current car depre is 7k, while the new Vezel facelift model is depre 10k BW offers 5 yrs warrenty, anyone in this thread can vouch for their reliability? Just curious, what kind of package is offered for the Vezel Facelift at $109k? For the higher depre for the hybrid, I believe is due to the higher CEVS. In short, the resale is also lower for the hybrid compared to just the petrol version. Issues like age and condition of the L-ion battery will also play apart in the pricing for resale of the hybrid. With all that new regulations nowadays, its quite hard to get resale values of previous generations of cars.
junh 1st Gear June 15, 2016 Share June 15, 2016 Woahhh..... thanks for sharing guys. I didn't realize all of these with the i-Stop. I don't think the 2.0L CX-5 has the i-Eloop. I didn't face such issues with the i-Stop thus far but I have to qualify that I did not connect any electrical/electronic device to the car batt. And yes, sometimes knowing the peak traffic hours, I would switch off the i-Stop before setting off. It really irritates at times. The most irritating part is when you are trying to park in reverse with the i-Stop on . When you approach a car park lot and stopping to position your reverse parking, the engine ceased, and only after you release your foot brake then the engines re-ignites and you can then shift the gear to reverse before proceeding on to reverse park! I drive a 2 n my i-stop symbol will disappear for my dash when I enter the carpark. Maybe no i-eloop or my car recognise a carpark driving pattern n it shuts off. Anyway mine no need to drive 30min for i-stop to start. Less than 5min have already

But the normal Vezel (Not facelift) the PI no longer have stocks in the color I want. The new Petrol vezel stocks are facelift models.

DX is $108,999 The current HRV has an OMV of $21k+ and with a sell price of $109k, margin is around $10k with a $50k COE. I expect same or even higher OMV and with expected higher COE, the prices you posted seem very fair. ↡ Advertisement
