Stabilus is the OEM manufacturer for most gas struts found in car bonnet and boots.

There's an interactive search menu, pretty dandy! [;)]

Just called this afternoon - Sach Singapore for the strut.

Yes, they are quite helpful to check for the right one for me. But they told me they will need to get back to me after checking if there is one which is of a higher strength for the Fabia with the additional weight of the spoiler.

Nah.. they did not call me after that enquiry. Wonder if they didnt bother abt me or they really do not have the details yet. Either way, I am too busy to cjhase them, let them come back to me in this week. Next week, I will go after them liao.

I am not sure if its too difficult to install it.. but will try to DIY when it comes. TB, you fix up one of these struts before?

Yo, just got a call from Sachs yesterday.

Service damn solid siah!

The price for each strut is less than $30.

And they will indent for me (as no stock). Shipment by sea.

They compared my Fabia strut and a strut that will fit. The variations are:

- Strength of gas strut increased from 600 newton (stock) to the indent 700 newton strut. his is exactly what I need to hold the extra weight of the boot added on by the spoiler.

- Strut slightly longer at 5mm. This the guy said is perfectly fine!

Am looking forward to my gas struts!

Hi to all

I'm interested to install bonnet struts to my Santa Fe. It's now with the traditional metal support stick that sticks out sore. How do i know what will fit? Should I go around Waterloo St or should i go straight to Sachs? Does the above mentioned site of a Ford have similarities with installations for my SF? My bonnet is rather heavy. Please advice. Thank you.

Lester
