Mel4fun Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 (edited) Eddie, I have 1 silly question :- Can the exhaust repair tape hide the welding mark of the exhuast ?? In the name of more umph...I've become less environmental friendly and hope that the tape can make the welding mark less obvious Edited January 6, 2003 by Mel4fun

Cool Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 (edited) These are aluminium tape used for Air-con. I rather you go for exhaust wraps.. Try calling Speedworks. Anyway, I am trying to use black Heat tar coated paint.. can be found at ACE hardware. Edited January 6, 2003 by Cool

Cool Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 Actually, I can get FibreGlass heat resistenat tape up to 300 degress celsius. But it cost a bomb.. something like $40 per roll of 4metre. They used this for engine in ships engineering.

Cool Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Share January 6, 2003 I will try to ask for you... Why not go to MAN exhaust and get it properly done ? TB hates FK, but I do go FK and often throw my weight around before paying. It cost about $30 only and it is proper.
Saaber Neutral Newbie January 6, 2003 Author Share January 6, 2003 I am using a 2.5" cat-back exhaust system with 3" downpipe which I bought from Sweden and the joints are the same as what you saw in the pics. Aman help me to put in the system but he advise me not to weld the joints in case I sell the car or the exhaust system whatsoever. Anyway, there are some minor leak at the joints and using those high temp exhaust putty to seal is ugly and temporary only, so I thought using tape more versatile and neater.....
