XLR8 1st Gear July 7, 2005 Share July 7, 2005 A friend driving a Japanese make was telling me that V Power actually gives better mileage plus more power. I wonder whether does this apply on the Octavia. Based on the current oil prices, the difference between 95RON and V Power is approx $10 per full tank. Since the octavia min RON is 95, I have been pumping 95 since I got the car. Osiris 1st Gear July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 i use vpower ocassionally. when i do, it does give better mileage for my ride - cheaper $ per km travelled as compared to 95, 98. But for others, they say no difference. guess it depends on the car vpower does makes the engine more reponsive and smoother for my ride. but I don't pump it always.
