Finished preety late that nite, but at least they got it all done by than. Had a long wait but is certainly worth it. My booth setup is a simple setup, not so impressive than yours, prefer ur box style

 

Nice hearing ur system that day, bro. Your system is already very good. If u change to a better RCA, you will pick up a lot more of the back ground sounds details, definely worth the investment. I know cos i already changed

Yep. Foon's the in house carpenter cum installer. Meng is expert installer. One is more tuned to D2 and the other P9 HU. Think Foon's really into P9, looking at how he's tuning all 31 individual bands using feedback system to get as ideal a freq curve as possible.

 

Now starting to toy with idea of changing my HU...when will we end

 

Currently using Alpine (OEM from Honda Kah Motor).

 

Pioneer P9 with 31 band Graphics EQ is tempting, but at $3K... Maybe the Clarion D2 is a more reasoble option at $1.5K.

 

How is the Clarion DXZ956MC at $1K?

bro, it's very hard to put a full stop for upgrading but i quite confident after changing the hu and RCA, it will be full stop for you

 

Clarion DXZ956MC is more chio, have nice display, memory to store tracks....have 24bit somemore. Comparing, D2 is just D2, simple, ugly, no MP3 function.....but D2 SQ is real solid! I will go for the D2

Will switching to a D2 with RCA result in substantial SQ difference? I'm looking to see if it'll have a fuller sound with a stronger "kick bass" from the components. These are the areas I feel that can be improved.
