Fuse - How to remove Stereo

Hi all,

Thanks in advance. Posted this in the ICE section, guess most of them like to enjoy using the system then DIY.

I have a Octavia Classic, original Blaunpunkt set and believe the fuse is blowned. Understand that there is a fuse within the electrical line before the set. There are 2 fuses and the external one is ok, hence, it is suspected that the one inside is blowned. It looks like the 13Amp fuse we use, but it is covered with a glass. Cannot remember how it has been done, something like slotting wires into the 4 holes from the side of the set....been a while ago that i have muck around with cars stereo.

kindly advice how to remove the main set to from the dashboard.

Again, thanks.

Ivan

Sigh....probably this will be falling onto deaf ears for Singaporean to DIY...

Managed to sort this out by taking the stereo set out. Octavia Classic original Blaunpunkt set has 4 holes in the front. Use 4 Alan Key or 4 wires (2mm Dia), slot it into the holes, pull it out through an up and down motion. You will find a 10 Amp fuse(red colour(large ones, same as those used in the car) on the left hand side of the set. Change it and slot it back. 5 mins work.
