I think what Fortress is saying is either a Line Isolator or noise supressor.

The Line Isolator is a square thingy placed between your HU and amp. Used to ground your RCA.

This thingy is called surge supressor

Likely a leaking circuit....chk the HeadUnit earthing...

any amp on board...if there's probably there's a loose connection.... [:)]
