Skyum 1st Gear June 26, 2005 Share June 26, 2005 I drive one. I think the CVT is great ...like driving a electric car but with power. I do not understand why people says the car lack pickup? I rush around most of the time and the car heeds well. I have been to cameron highlands and back. No issue since I do not race along the NS highway. Never know when those money sucker will stop you. Cruising along PIE at 100-105kmh and the rpm is about 2500-2600. It's not a big car with the 3rd row best suited to children esp for long trips. This is due to the fact that the 3rd row sits on the rear wheel hump. Probably the same with all the mid size MPV like Premacy, Stream, caren and wish. FC is not great. I rush about on the road and average 8.5km/l. Same as Picnic and new Trajet CVVT. Road and engine noise is not the best. Can be quite harsh when i step on the throttle but the car will go. I ride on MVX8. What is great with the car is the sliding passenger door. With children, no need to worry that it will slam into some one elses car. You can also park in narrow lots and not worry that the door cannot be open. The fact that the rear hatch window open independently from the rear hatch means you can reverse park and not worry that your hatch is block. Just open the hatch window and drop in your shopping. The floor of the car is flat as the door sill and makes cleaning of the car interior a breeze. Just get a hard brush to sweep off any dirt. All round visibility is excellent. So it is a pretty decent car and serve it purpose well if it fits your requirement. Trajet is much cheaper, more comfortable and suits bigger family. Same FC but real sluggish. ↡ Advertisement
