Its not an adnormal case for cockcroach found in car. Even if you will keep your car clean all the time(of coz it minimise, but the chance are always there) Sometimes when you park your car in the carpark, cockcroach from other car might enter your car too.

However you can prevent them from coming. Heard of the Pandan leave? It does help. Buy some Pandan leaves for 50 cents or so and break the crack the leaves before you put in your car. To be effective put in every part of your car including the back bonnet and all the floor mats...

Thats all mate.... [sunny]

I think the post about a thousand ants is a bit exaggerating, but funny [laugh]

But do take his advice seriously, not just the spare tyre, the nooks and crannies of your car must also be checked. Easier said than done though, unless you know your car body very well.

I have to agree with Blackbird. Cockroaches usually appear because of food, regardless of car age. And cockroaches never come alone.

yup... c0ckroaches, if u see one.. u can bet there's another one near by.

i found c0ckraoch shellings in the car b4.. kinda freaky to see the whole shell including the head and legs.. must be molting or somethin

i sprayed the whole car, carpet and under the mats with shieldtox odorless and put a bait. couple of days later, this crippled c0ckroach came limping out on the ground..

couldn't bear to crush it so just let it suffer in pain. a whole 2 hrs and it's still wriggling [sly]

as for ants.. ants don't come as one unless they're lost, then it's as good as dead..

they rely on each other for food, so watch out for a nest!

Just try spraying baygon and put some napthalene balls (those white color balls) in the floor mat, boot and also put some on the spare tyre rims.

then happy [drivingcar]

=====================================

That's what I do every few months. I also put those balls in every hole & hollow panel I can find.

Never seen any roaches in my car yet.

Don't put too many balls everywhere as the smell can get too strong. I just put about 2-3 in the car & abt 5-6 in the boot every 4 months or so.

Also I don't eat in the car & carry all exposed foodstuffs in a large cooler-box in the boot to prevent the smell of food from inviting those little buggers over for dinner.

Turbocharged

we shed skin/scalp particles..they feast on them.. [crazy]

so whether we eat/drink or not, doesn't matter..unless u or occupants enter the car in space suits [:p]

My friend's encounter was with ants. He park under this tree and the next day got ants coming out of every crook and vents inside. He sent it for fogging. Cost abt $80. will find out where he did it. The ants just drop out of the holes. After that they will clean up ur interior and do some venting.

I got this problem when I parked under the tree when at the zoo. So those of you going there beware and take note.....
