Genie,

Ever tried this? I got spooked after my wife exclaimed, "There's a baby roach in the car!" After killing it, I immediately drove to NTUC and bought this:

Antimos.jpg

It comes in a pack of 4 for $15 shocked.gif. Works out to be $3.75 per pack. It's something like a car odourizer. It repels mosquitoes and roaches. 100% plant extract consisting of citronella, garlic oil, pine oil, dipentene, camphor powder and comphene. I opened one and placed it in the boot. Let's hope it works.

Hey...what I don't see doesn't hurt me! laugh.gif

But honestly, I was contemplating on attraction killer type but was afraid of inviting some from the nearby ground instead.

My friend's encounter was with ants. He park under this tree and the next day got ants coming out of every crook and vents inside. He sent it for fogging. Cost abt $80. will find out where he did it. The ants just drop out of the holes. After that they will clean up ur interior and do some venting.

Talking about roaches. The other day I just blew my tire. When I replace my tire, There were like 10 roaches, 2 centipides, and thousands of ants running around in my spare tire compartment. I recommand those of you with old cars or people who are facing pest problem to check in that department. It might be the root of everything. Pretty freaky.

Pandan leaves seems to be effective.....unless u dun like the smell.... but i guess the best way to prevent roaches is to avoid eating in the car. [nod]

I think the post about a thousand ants is a bit exaggerating, but funny [laugh]

But do take his advice seriously, not just the spare tyre, the nooks and crannies of your car must also be checked. Easier said than done though, unless you know your car body very well.

I have to agree with Blackbird. Cockroaches usually appear because of food, regardless of car age. And cockroaches never come alone.

I know of a chemical gel, just like our tooth plaste, just one small drop, very effective for Cocoroaches, I am a hawker I used it for my stall. It is approved by NEA for hawker centre use. I can get the name of this product for you but you have to go and buy yrself. Cos the sales man comes only one or twice a yr. [shocked][hur]
