well....found that the sponge underneath the front passenger side carpet (it's not the car mat...you have to lift up the carpet) was wet. decided to send to SA for a check....it was the air-con pipe (whatever u call it....it's the one that carries out the air-con condensation water) that was bringing the water in....need 2 days to drygossip.gif to the manager a while....got a courtesy car (thumbsup.gif not bad).....

collected my car today at 7+ pm frown.gif ....checked....found some scratches on the interior plastic frown.gif.......was promised a replacement.....so went home. opened boot......boot light not working furious.gif

trade off - "save" time by letting others dry my car, but gotta go back for the plastic and boot light

OR spend a day drying the car myself but with no other trouble....i don't know dead.gif

That pipe is the drain off hose

which suppose to discharge the

water droplets from condensation

in the Cooling Coil.

Obviously the hose is disconnected

by any means and the water dropets

did not get discharge out of the

cabin and thats y the sound damping

under the carpet was soaked..

Luckily you have that remedy fast

or else you will have infested ants

and roaches..

BTW what car did they loan you for

replacement??

This would be a very serious matter. I would screw the SA in this case. If theres water, you'll be looking a corrosion. If corrosion takes place, that particular part of the chassis would probably be the first to break off in an event of a *touch wood* crash.

Have it inspected for corrosion just to be on the safe side.

that 747 is used by the Angmo

to travel from home to SA.

You should see the way he close

the driver's door.

150pounds of hand muscle to close

the poor door.

If the door got life, it would scream

until it dies... [bigcry]

So it's Aveo5 ? Please comment how is it ?

What made u chose it over others hatchback like Rio/Getz/Swift ?

I am very curious why so many Getz so little Aveo5.

Was think Getx very nice until see interior of Aveo5, seems to made Getz look cheap.

But more headache as got New Aveo Sedan which is just $1K more !?

Lukie,

When did you change your stabilizer busing and the link rod? At 20k? How long did it take? Labour charges came up to how much? They told me that they will replace mine at 20k! mad.gif

bushing ard 20k. link rod ard 30k+. why you need to change?? FOC cos it should not be wear and tear fault. link rod should last longer if you dont go off-track or fly over bumps.

Make sure the floorboard is fully dried & do check if there r any signs of rust. If so, apply a coat of "rust converter" to make sure it dosent get worse.

The matting & carpet cud b dried very quickly by using a hair dryer. I think they left your car in the sun with all doors open which caused your boot light to blow as it was on for a few days.

The AC water pipe sud b checked if it is blocked. If it is or not fully cleared, the water problem will come back.

It should be dry since it happened so long ago laugh.gif Boot light blew? They told me the connection was not fitted properly furious.gif

There's no more water coming in but I'll ask my mech to double check. I have decided to forsake them.
