Yup... I felt it was pretty irresponsible, towards myself and other roadusers (even though it was done late at night and I made sure I was at least one lane away from other roadusers while passing them). So I never did anything like that again (life is never too long)... now I drive at 90-100 kmph... [thumbsup]

The engine may be capable of doing 180kmph or more, but the chassis and setup is not. So for other non-sports car owners, please reconsider before attempting to race. I was lucky...

Floored my stock G9 Corolla 1.5 XLi(A)

2nd gear (6000rpm)=115+kmh [nod]

3rd gear(6000rpm)=180kmh! [smash][wave]

4th gear(4400rpm)=180kmh [shakehead] sigh. . .

In 4th, revs are stuck at a healthy 4400rpm, yet car will not go >180kmh! no matter how hard i tried. . .[bigcry]

Dear pple. . .Toyota electronically limited it to 180kmh?? [rifle] OR the car really cant do more? Feel free to share your flooring experiences. . . Many thanks!

Woah dude, dun you think in a tin can at that speed is pretty not very funny. All you need is a little stone to bump ur ride up an inch and off u go dude. Jap cars are feather weight and really soft thus very dangerous at those speeds.

I did clocked my dad's G9 @ 210km/hr.. It was recorded into my R-vit. Have deleted the record liao. For breaking of gear & speed, forget liao. Cos' it's taken so long ago.

Anyone knows the top speed of camry 2.0l? the 2002 model with VVTI. the brochure says 190 km/h which seems quite sad..

It's not something i'll try anytime soon (since i just got my license!!!) but i'm curious.

I think all toyotas body rolls like sxxt. Corolla, camry etc.. try before [dizzy]

But I must say camry FC is damn good. 7.2l per 100km which is close to 14km/l. of course this can only be achieved with a light right foot. [;)]

Camry 2.0 vvt-i probably will not surpass 190kmh by very much if the manual says so.

I have riden in a stock previous gen Accord 2.4. Even with pedal to the floor, its accelerating really slowly at 195kmh. I will say it shouldn't be able to hit 200kmh.

While we all know a Sunny's not gonna beat a Corolla any day, the only good thing is that the Sunny's really stable at 175-180km/h, but sadly, doesn't go any higher after that :P
