Furrynadz 5th Gear June 14, 2005 Share June 14, 2005 brought the cap at $135... cheap or ex? I still have a long way to learn about having nice presentation... Ideas and actually work seems to be so far apart... But well, at least I have new project to look forward to.. It seems like I forgot to take another photo of the 'finished' project... will update again tomorrow. a bit ex lanzar 1f around 90+ max ↡ Advertisement
Mavvy Clutched June 15, 2005 Share June 15, 2005 My ice 'presentation' isn't as good as those Pro's one... Excuse the 'messy' cable... Will try to 'tidy' up the cables once I get more 'carpet'.. the cables ain't messy.. kinda a 'clear' presentation look.. can always find time tucked somewhere away.. Gadgeter 2nd Gear June 15, 2005 Author Share June 15, 2005 So any noticable improvements after installing the capacitor??? After 3 days of installation, this is what I notice. Previously, when I turn on headlights, A/C and blast music.. my voltage drops to 12.3~12.0 whenever I stop at a junction. It takes a long time for the voltage to move up (while still stopping), and sometimes it dun. After, voltage stills drops to 12.3 but it takes a shorter time for it return to 13.3 (while still stopping).
Gadgeter 2nd Gear June 15, 2005 Author Share June 15, 2005 trunk...un-ventilated...during a sunny & humid day...temp inside will accumulate 50 to 60 deg C if parked udr the sun...not an ideal compartment for installing a high charged capacitor. heat > is the main enemy of electronic/electrical components or devices... OIC... Am actually thinking of fixing a fan to cool down the stuff.... Can I use those type of fan used in computer?

Gadgeter 2nd Gear June 15, 2005 Author Share June 15, 2005 Dun quote my words.. Voltage stabilizer helps to keep output voltage stable during peak loads, thus helps those voltage sensitive equipment to operate properly. A capacitor is a little like a battery. Although they work in completely different ways, capacitors and batteries both store electrical energy. Capacitor cannot produce new elextrons, it only stores them.
