after my first 1k oil change, do i still need to use mineral oil or change to fully syn oil?

Synthetic cos difference in price betw mineral & syn is not much, but there is a labor charge. and if u go for long life sync specs.. with just regular oil filter change, den the difference will b even higher.

I'm the old school type. I think that you should use mineral till 10k for proper run-in. Run your car hard and varies your rev till redline on some run will helps your valve sit properly. Hope this helps.

Same here, I switched to synthetic at 10K (last free servicing).

 

No point changing during the first 3 free servicing as the OCI is only 5K, it will be a waste of $$$.

Most important is to keep your money. Synthetics are much more expensive. Use mineral for the run-in period because the oil will drain out before it is fully utilized.
