Secondhand Neutral Newbie June 3, 2005 Share June 3, 2005 (edited) Hi guys... Just wanting to find out. 1)Does anyone know which shop in SG selling this Ultimate wipers? I try finding it but seems that only available outside SG leh... By the way, I'm driving 1.6M Skoda Octavia. And I DO NOT know wat's the size of my original wipers... 2)Is anyone playing Forza Motorsport? Can explain to me wat's under/over steer? Wat's good and wat's not? 3)My 50k servicing is coming up... Is it better to go back to CA or should I find outside sources? I've been to CA b4 and I'm quite reluctant to go back there... One thing is $$ spent there too exp... Thanks many many in advance... Papercup Neutral Newbie June 3, 2005 Share June 3, 2005 Hey bro, I got these wipers on my ride. I got my friend who is living in US to buy it from GoBrand and then sent it to me. Don't think there is any shops in SG selling them.
Beanoyip Turbocharged June 3, 2005 Share June 3, 2005 Actually i wonder how long does these 'branded' wipers last. Due to weather, exposed to sun those sort of things. Isn't it more feasible to buy those cheap wipers and change it every once a year? I'm not sure, just a personal thought.
Papercup Neutral Newbie June 4, 2005 Share June 4, 2005 Actually, I agree with you. Only after buying these very expensive wipers, It came to my mind on how long can these wipers last. It will be super expensive to get them replace twice a year or so. Next time I will be getting those normal wipers.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie June 4, 2005 Author Share June 4, 2005 I know they're expensive... But the advertising very attractive leh... Anywayz, I wouldn't mind buying other brands... But like I mention... I do not know wat size wiper blades I'm currently using... How about 2) and 3)? Anyone any comments?
Dtvox Neutral Newbie June 4, 2005 Share June 4, 2005 I think I bought the cheapest wiper ever. Was in JB about a month back and came across this shop that sell all sort of stuffs. Saw a section with wipers but realised that they are selling 'bundled' - 2 pairs but each pair has different length (e.g. 1 pair 18 inch and the other 21 inch) - intended for Proton I believe. My car uses the same lenght on both sides (21"), so I negotiated with the sales person to let me have 2 pairs of the same length. They agreed after a while. Total damage: RM 14.90 for 2 pairs. Translated to SGD: SGD 1.60 per piece... Using it for about a month now and its perfect...

Slowdive Neutral Newbie June 4, 2005 Share June 4, 2005 Hi Secondhand, If it is any help, I just did my servicing for my Skoda Fabia at Chip Soon Auto at Tampines Industrial Park. It's behind Tampines ITE. Convenient if you live around there. Changed my battery as well, same make - Varta - $210. Just regular oil change, etc... Hope this helps.
