Beast Neutral Newbie June 8, 2005 Author Share June 8, 2005 yes, I'm driving a Swift.. coz CM only provides free servicing for 1, 10, 20K km. Dun wan to go back for 5K coz they sure charge high labour cost one... plus I only wan to change engine oil..
Christan Turbocharged June 8, 2005 Share June 8, 2005 Found this outside a workshop. The workshop offers 3 types of services: good, quick and cheap where you picked 2. If you want it to be good and cheap, it won't be quick. If you want it to be quick and cheap, it won't be good. If you want it to be good and quick, it won't be cheap. Pisces69 6th Gear June 8, 2005 Share June 8, 2005 Does your car require service every 5 or 10 k km??? It cud b every 10k km. That's why CM only do it every 10k km. Read the service manual. It will tell u how often to service. Most cars nowadays only need to service at 10K km & many r extending it to 16k km & more. There is a reason for the extended service interval. New engines r smoother & better made, new oils r longer lasting too, so don't waste your hard earned $$$.
Hondacruz Neutral Newbie June 9, 2005 Share June 9, 2005 well at list you service you car once every six mths.............. whether is 5, 10 or 15k due to our driving condition here in Singapore..
Pisces69 6th Gear June 9, 2005 Share June 9, 2005 With the new extended servicing schedules, it can go up to 1 year also. SG driving is mostly a mix of Normal & severe driving. For me it's mostly Normal, so I service every 10K km, which is not a problem with fully synthetic oil.
Hondacruz Neutral Newbie June 9, 2005 Share June 9, 2005 yup ! me too using syn oil service only once a year average 15 to 20k........but change filter once every 6mths..
Pisces69 6th Gear June 11, 2005 Share June 11, 2005 Oh. OK. But I only change my filter when I change the oil. A bit overkill to change the filter every 6 months. The handbook says 1 year also can for the filter, as long as it's together with the oil.
