Dazenconfused Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Share May 31, 2005 Hi. I really need help. my black bonnet seems to have this perpetual blurry streaks. using meguairs quick detailer didn't help. wax myself also didn't help. infact i thought the streaks gor worse. I've read through the forum. some say after a few washes it will be ok. but its been 2 mths now but the streaks are still there. i also wax it on a "cold" car (didn't drive for about 3 hrs before my wax). any help? the bonnet is squeaky clean due to the quik detailer i used but the damn blurry streaks are still there. I've just went for my autoglm polish session about 2 mth ago. Help! ↡ Advertisement

Gen2 Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Share May 31, 2005 Hi bro Dazenconfused, from your message you mentioned that you just had your autoglym polish session 2 mths ago, you mean you went to the professional or you DIY. If done by the grooming centre than check with them because you said that the blurry streaks was on the car for 2 months already, which is to say right after the autoglym session. If DIY, can you describe the streak, is it a big patch or small patches here and there ? Oh and also how old is the paint job on your car already ? Dazenconfused Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Author Share May 31, 2005 i search the forum already. best advice sifted out was re-wax on a "cold surface". and also after subsequent washes streaks will dissapper. Gadgeter, thanks for the offer maybe i can go to your meetups then can show you guys. :) and meet more detailing gurus. My paint is quite new. i resprayed last then half year ago. No, didn't DIY my polish. went to a professional groomer Maybe i will go to my groomer and ask him use the buffer to polish the bonnet. the blur marks looks like wet polish lor. but i rub and rub the marks still there. Gen2 Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Share May 31, 2005 Since your car is done by a groomer than go back to him first since the problem started right after he done up your car. But kind of don understand why didn't you tackle the problem earlier rather 2 months later, now is a bit difficult to say who is responsible for that streaking problem. Tien Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Share May 31, 2005 ok, not all streaks are caused by the wax or polish you applied on the car, though this is the usual cause. sometimes the paint will turn blurry becos the paintwork wasnt done properly in the first place. I have experience withmy car that it does not go well with certain brand of wax like Zymol. Become hazy after application and hard to remove. Got to use another brand of wax to apply then buff off again.
Gen2 Neutral Newbie May 31, 2005 Share May 31, 2005 Just curious to know which Zymol wax did you use that give you the hazy effect, so far I only got the chance to try the 'cheap' Zymol clearner wax .
