Big Bore Throttle for Aveo

Hi , to all Aveo fans i have install this so call BBT on my ride from now onwards your Aveo will not be sluggiish anymore it will cruise like a plane .

This BBT is bigger in daimater so when u flaw your pedal more air is injected into your engine thus your ride become smoother and ligther .

for go those E68 , magnet , capusle etc.... this is more meaningful and it works as well bro..

Sorry this how th BBT look like . it is the same as the orignal and this is also genuine parts from GM .

My first post...

 

Viewing from the photo, my guess in the purchase was made from www.mancando.com, costing at $270 without installation.

In fact, the latest Hot Stuff mag has a review om BBTB.

According to the acticle, it improves the engine performance with more airflow. Basically the stock diameter of the thorttle body of say 55mm dia, the BBTB offers 3mm more = 58mm.

As for FC, I do not think it will imrprove.

Hi, jus to share..I have done this throttle body mod in my previous ride. I consider it a good mod as the mid to high rev is more free and more eager. HOwever, you may need to add in a fuel regulator to balance your A/F mixture..otherwise you risk running too lean.

 

FC will go up..in my case, quite marginal.

this is the orignal part from GM motor korea with ssn part number who can detect it it an orignal parts la... as for the price $270 sorry they dont carry for aveo ...

Sorry bro..I was refering to my Subaru TS..I changed the throttle body to a larger diameter and the result was very good..but I guess the same effect would apply to any car as well since more air intake is always welcome but got to balance with fuel. I hope I don't need to mod my AVEO 5 so soon...hehehh...but looks like inevitable after talking to you guys..

me too looking for BBT to improve pickup response but FC wise I doubt so.

i heard from a Rex friend who installed BBT saying it has to go along Fuel Regulator

othewise engine stall. i dun know isit true ornot?

mine is SW also. I not sure how this bbt thing work also, i am mechanically retard. but I guess now the entry bigger, so air flow better. but not sure if have or not in the first place for optra also. But my guess is, if its available for the saloon, the wagon can use, coz the compartment layout is the same.

i received email from my cousin who migrated to Canada. he wrote that in CA

Optra oni comes in 1.8 & 2.0 version & 1.6 unavailable but we can use the

1.8 Throttle Body in our 1.6 Optra.

Fitting are the same except the 1.8 Throttle Body 'diameter' is bigger than

our 1.6 but 2.0 not adviseable (high FC & require ECU tuning).

he is now checking the price for the 1.8 Throttle Body and i will post $ once

he reply.
