Hi all,

 

Just set up this poll to see hw we dear drivers think abt TAXI (They Are X-tremely Idiotic) drivers.

 

Just got some famous tricks of theirs and im fuming like a chimney. Thus set up this poll.

Taxis are obstacles on the road. To go through the whole day without incident, drivers like us will have to manouver around these obstacles. So we all did well yesterday and prepare ourselves for the next day. We are all survivors... [;)]

Though i hate the majority of taxi drivers' driving, SOME can be really nice people [nod]

 

 

Not gonna vote, though your abbreviation on TAXI is pretty funny [laugh]

Taxi drivers are people who has to earn they livelihood for that day on the road. They have to pay the "rent and petrol" of the car, i.e. fare from the first 6-8 hours is for the taxi company before they can start to earn their own $$$. If one had a bad day, then he does not earn $$$ until 10 hours work.

 

Taxi companies made so much $$$$ last year that some new companies have entered the market and some existing companies have expanded their fleet. There are so many nex taxi parked at these companies that theycan't find drivers to drive. Why ? Cos' the existing taxi drivers already find it hard to earn enough $$$ for their honest job done.

 

I don't blame taxi drivers. I sympathy them. Some of their driving habits may be terrible, but I forgive them. You might be worse than them if your first 6-8 hours of work is for someone else.

 

I have encountered Merc drivers who can rise my blood pressure much easier. They just driveat 30-40 km/h on normal road and 60 km/h on expressway. Never understood why they bought a Merc at the first place.

Agree with Tploh, walk a mile in their shoes to understand how they lead their lives before judging them and passing sweeping comments like hey are a**holes, idiots, etc etc. Most of us only spend 2-3 hours commuting on the roads and we get frustrated at times during these hours. Imagine spending 10+ hours daily on the road with no medical benefits, annual leave, etc.

They are earning their livelihood at the expense of safety of other road users.

becos i hve a p plate

some of these taxi drivers like to purposely come close to my vehicle or eat into my lane

hopin i will bang into them

den they can claim insurance and no need to work

If u wanna to put it that way....just becos of a few culprits...then... too bad... [:)]

but bear in mind...they r oso risking injuries themselves...if accidents..oso getting prosecuted if they r at fault...
