Need Help regarding engine?

Just like to check with you with the change of the default air filter to the cone type, will it affect the engine in the long run? I heard some people telling me that the engine will get dirty because of the cone shape air filter as it allows more air to go into the engine, is that true?

So anyway to clear the dirts inside the engine? Anyone care to enlighten me, thanks! confused.gif

My air filter is placed just behind of the battery where cold air is but then does the engine gets dirty by placing there?

How to clear those dirts from the engine, any idea? bounce2.gif

The Battery will get hot and if suay suay the acid spill out and get into the filter....bad news.....

Make a shield for your air filter to be safe...

But according to what the agent say, the battery is maintenance free cos it is a dry cell battery unlike those old cars using the acid battery so I guess I do not need to make a shield for that right?

Use Aluminium sheet to create box-like enclosure to shield the air filter from the battery....secure by bolt and nut or cable tie to any anchoring point.

If you could show me a digital picture of your engine bay, I might be able to give you better instruction on how to construct one.

My Zafira's bty is covered by a thin plastic sheet with some foam (feels like foam, spongy feeling) inside. I think most modern engines have this feature. Just hope that it doesn't mean the bty burn out faster!
