Something which I asked C&C last year - can I have this feature, and they said it'll be a customised job.

Now they're offering it free with the E Class... sigh.

Oh well, now to check if they have an upgrade offer for existing owners.

Main attraction is the ability to play DVD MP3! Imagine the number of songs! [thumbsup]

At least with the new option, it brings the price more in line with the 5 series. I always thought the E-class was underspecced.

Surprising, the E Class was cheaper than the BMW 5 series when I got mine. Never compare list price, as C&C is bound by Mercedes to maintain at a certain price for published price. I was a genuine potential buyer for both 520 and E200, and both gave me their "real" prices after negotiations.

In the end, that's why I went with the E. More luxurious interior and a cheaper price tag then (and probably still comparabe now).

The 530 is slightly more expensive than the E320 but it has more than $10K of extra stuff and the OMV is higher. At the very least, the 530 has 18" rims whilst the E320 is using 16" rims. A 16" rim won't even fit a 530 because of the brakes! C&C overpriced their cars.

I have a good installer if u want to oem mod your car in Singapore.

His email is [email protected]

He installed bixenons and navigation to my c320 avantgarde

Can u please help me ask C&C whether the Navigtion works on the 2001 E320?

I plan to install the navigation and other OEM mod too.

If u need anything extra for your merc, he is the guy to go.

I understand that Steve is based abroad. Did Steve come to Singapore to do the mods on your car?

Well we need to compensate a little bit for his travel and also he would probably transit anyway on his next trip to Australia. He did mods for my car in the US and he is based in Nederlands. Please visit mbworld.org about his reputation!

Hi

I already know about his excellent reputation as I visit the MBWorld forum quite often. I would be happy to join in a mini-group buy of sorts together with other Singaporean Merc owners who would like Steve to do some mods to our cars, especially to retrofit Euro Comand (with Satnav, DVD palyback, MP3 palyback and Ipod integration kit).

I have already sent Steve a private message and will see how he will respond. Anyone else here in Singapore would like him to work on their cars?

I dont know whether these works in Singapore but you can ask C&C whether they have

W210 Command Navigation system CD to make the old DX-CD Command navigation model to work.

If they do it will probably work with a little trimming on the dash. I hope you can check it out with them as I am outside Singapore now, if you can please ask them for me as well because i am interested in having not to flip my map book but with a navigation system. Especially Singapore and Malaysia Map!
