Tploh Clutched May 20, 2005 Share May 20, 2005 Recently, I installed a new car alarm system to my Honda Stream and in the process, the instasller dismentle the cables to the batteries for a while. Then the "SRS" ( air bag )warning light comes up at the dashboard. Today, I send in my car to KM to rectify this problem, and the mech told me that I have short circuit my seat belt and new a new replacement which will cost me $130 ( incl. labour ). He said so even without any test performed. Can this happen ?? I am confused and appreciate the expert's advices. ↡ Advertisement
Yeobh 4th Gear May 20, 2005 Share May 20, 2005 (edited) Seat Belt tension sensor located under the seat is link to the SRS module.SRS light on can be due to to faulty tension sesnor or loose wire connection Edited May 20, 2005 by Yeobh
Tploh Clutched May 20, 2005 Author Share May 20, 2005 (edited) But can the mech know for sure that is the cause of the SRS warning, even without testing ? Or is he just try to find an excuse to charge more ? And can it be repaired, rather than replaced ? Edited May 20, 2005 by Tploh

Odyssey02 Clutched May 21, 2005 Share May 21, 2005 erm i got it done at KM Leng Kee, nearer to my house. Sam did it for me, good service. The honda club i refer to is the one ur SE asks u to join once u collext your car. check ur old servicing receipts, if u have the club member, u would get discounts off certain parts.
