The wiper is only a year.....

I have been driving with distorted vision for a year liow during rainy days....

But I think if I push my luck somemore, either me or someone else will be 6 feet under.

Something fishy...

the wiper is a yr old...and he has been driving with a distorted vision during rainy days for a yr.

So the problem doesnt lies with the wiper but the windscreen?

Did you paste some cheap tint materials which causes distorted vision? Anyway, like everyone else, I'd advise you to change the wiper. I change mine twice a year, because I hate the watery streaks that's left behind by aging wipers. Having new wipers really makes me feel good when I see the squeaky clean glass. [:)]

Unlike condoms which is changed once everytime you want to do IT, wiper blades should be changed once every 6 months or when it ..........

a. Does not give you a clear wipe

b. Juddering or rattling noise during operation

c. Cracked or broken rubber ( metal contact would damage glass screen )

You should avoid using these Rain-X stuffs on your screen unless you remove your wipers altogether because they employ polymers in the chemical and these polymers would screw the rubber component on the blades.

You should not polish your windscreen with any wax in an attempt to give you a smooth surface. You can try a fine rubbing compound.

Wash your screen regularly and try not to follow those 2 stroke bikes as their exhaust tend to throw out alot of oil droplets which would make your screen worst when you use the wipers.

Use a windscreen additive when you top up your washer reservoir with water. Just a cap or two would do. One bottle about $5 and can last you a long long time and will give you a better clearing of road contaminants, oil, dirt, etc.

BUT....most important of all.......change those wiper blades first ! Buy a $60K car but cannot afford to buy a $12 wiper blades ! Sipaikiamsiap !

Hey, I used Rain-X b4 and STILL using it now... Not bad for something under $15. First thought that it wouldn't work... But after seeing it work time and time again, I even forgot that I have such things called Wipers...

Except nowadays I need to get my wipers replaced too... [laugh][:p]

But other than tat, it's a good invention in my opinion... [;)]

Change it ba. The wiper's lifespan also works wif how often u use it. If you use it often when ur windscreen isn't wet, it'll spoil the wiper. My sis's ride haven't change for 2years + already while mine... less than 1 year need to change liao. haha.

Guys,

When I use my wiper, there are always a lot of streaks, giving me a very distorted vision of what is ahead. I can't even see the car number of the car right in front of me....

The wiper judders a little, but the problem are the streaks....

If raining at night, I can't even see the line divider. Everything is just blur. There was once I nearly banged onto the central divider...

so please tell me what to do before I kill myself or others.....

Change to New Wipers that is one or two inch shorter.

It'll work... the current wiper might too long or heavy to control.
