Common Problems with Optra 5

Actually I'm deciding between the Optra 5 and Toyota Altis.

Like the Optra 5 design but worry abt the fuel consumption and other unforeseen problems.

FC will be higher in an Optra 5 - Conti Car mah...

 

Altis is Toyota (established and well supported - everything and everywhere also got)

 

Unforeseen problems will occur anytime, anyway, anycar - that's why its UNforeseen

 

Have you test driven both cars? If not, u must try and "throw" the 02 cars around - now that's where the difference is apparent

 

Anyway, you come here sure all PRO Chevy and Optra5...think and choose carefully...

As for FC, I'm now getting 10-11km/l. Mileage is 3k. My colleague who drives a 1 yr-old Altis, says that his FC is also about the same.

Although I wish there are less Chev cars on the road, I do want to welcome you. I booked 1 and is expected delivery next week. The reason is mainly it is value for money since this is my 7 cars in 20 years.

 

Of course, chances are you will be the only one in the whole parking floor!

Congratulations on your Optra5 acquisition

 

I am quite sure we will continue to be a minority car type in Singapore owing to the weaker support and lesser variety of accessories. Nevertheless ours is already a rather stylish car and fairly rare so heads do turn wherever I go and I do get alot of questions on the car.

All say it is beautiful, and it is

 

Also whenever I tell them what I got for our price they stand abit awed; where else can you find independant Mcpherson struts, disc brakes on all four tyres and traction control at that price.

Very happy with moi OPTRA 5

 

Every car also got minor problems here N there,its all in the mind mostly

 

Why u ask? Choosing between an OPTRA Sedan, OPTRA 5 and OPTRA ESTATE?

Optra SEDAN got some problems, but the topic here is Optra 5 (the hatchy one)

 

So far so good, I go temple pray a lot - no problems

My colleage drives an Optra5 ! When I sit with him on his Optra5, I do notice that his airconditioning does not seem to be as good as mine ! The air delivery of the circular vents seems less effective compared to mine.

 

What do you Optra5 owner think ? Are you happy with the cooling efficiency of your aircon ?

Okay...maybe you are just too cool whereas I am too hot for the aircon

 

Seriously, I find that the cool down time compared to my Optra seems longer ! Maybe I am just jealous of his newer model but I could swear it is not as cold.

 

Apart from Cool Jansen, any other Optra5 owners have a comment on this ?

first issue:

my air-con not very cold...advise by my ICE installer to have the gas check as most of the time they to do fill to the max.

 

second issue:

car steer slightly to the left. bought up this on the 1000k servicing but still not rectify guess next service will nag at them liao
