Can we have some standard in those reviews?

I believe one should reply correctly to the right person to avoid any misunderstanding. Anyway, I'm ok. smile.gif

Turbocharged

When giving review on a car, there are many factors to consider. Each person has their own preferences. Eg. $, speed, comfort, looks, etc.

Of course, some are stingy in giving points too [laugh] To me, the remarks gave me some insight of the car they experienced. [gossip]

Supersonic

One suggestion: Can the reviews be of cars that the reviewer has test driven but currently does not own? Now everyone oso say their car good which may not be very objective.

their scale very the shameless

all 9/10 , 10/10 one

all the cars sold here so good hor , so reliable hor, then wats the friggin pt of service centres [sweatdrop]

This is human. The car buyer has paid good $50-100K for his ride and you want him to tell everyone that he has made a stupid decision in buying that car ?! No way, it is only human to start to love even the bad part of the car at that level of personal investment.

Second point is that, good or bad is a relative adjective. What was the previous ride ? I would say a new Vios is a good car, if my previous ride is a 20 years old Lada. I would say Vios is lousy, if my previous ride is a BMW 7-series.

I agree that the review is not helpful to prospective buyers due to the above mentioned characteristics. As a reader, we should be aware that this is not a professtional review, where the reviewer is an experience drivers across many cars.

Sorry to revive such an old thread.

I feel it's high time MCF set a minimal standard/criteria for the reviews eg. time of ownership/or car has to clocked a certain mileage, etc. Otherwise, it's just a waste of bandwidth.

Without such criteria, how can a reviewer truly share about the car's reliably and other aspect of the car? I see many reviews are done during the 'honeymoon' instead of after a prolong period of ownership.
