Gen2 bro, if I were to layer SG, say I already apply 1 layer liao, I just need to wash my ride then apply SG? Like that like no surface prep leh...how ah?

I would suggest washing the car, you don't want to apply SG over car which has been exposed to the exhaust fumes which leave oily film on the car...QD may not be sufficient to remove this and some people wonder why SG doesn't last when they layer without washing

[;)] SG and Oily surface don't belong together

So correct sequence of layering SG is wash --> dry --> QD --> SG

I wouldn't say this is a right or wrong method but definately a method that works for me. But if you are running short of time, you can actually skip the QD procedure. Personnally I find Mother's Showtime QD to be pretty good and Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection is not too bad too.

Hi I had a few question regarding detailing..

u mention the process wash-->dry-->SG x3 --> wax eg.

u mention that SG need 12~24 hours to cure... so before the 2nd/3rd or wax, do we need to wash?

frankly, 12~24 hour, there will be dirt or dust on the surface. Or we just SG/wax rite away?

thanks in advance
