toyota cars have been well-known for its gd FC and reliable engine..

if u r not in hurry to get a car might as well get cat A...immediate coe (cat E) is more expensive and normally u need to pay more but the value of yr coe follows cat A value..

eg u paid 17k for immediate coe but the cat A for da particular bidding is 16k..so yr coe is 16k and not 17k

SE sms me that now Sirion can get -$1k from the listed price of EURO (Nappa leather and 15in alloy rim) 4ATM at 57,488 so after 1k deduct = $56,488 BUT still find it abit ex for a 1.3L car BUT it made in Japan... have been searching a 1.3L car made in Japan to downgrade from my present 1.6 impreza...any views???

Havr you consider Lancer 1.6A at $54,988? Manual version costs $2.5K less at $52,488.

Bigger capacity and yet cheaper. Higher OMV than Sirlion too, so lower annual depreciation.

I'm planning to buy a car and Sirion 1.3M is in my list.

Quote from SE.

Manual:

$52788 + $800(Nappan Leather - Free from SE) + $400(Sports Rim) + $1000(guaranteed COE) + $2500 for Sports Model.

For $1/- downpayment (10 yrs loan), I'm able to choose from 2 interest rates ie 3%pa or 3.25 pa. For the 3.25, there's a 20% cash rebate on the interest which work out to be a better deal than the 3% interest rate.

Or do you think Vios 1.5M is a better deal? $51500+788(deluxe package)+$1000(guaranteed COE) with 1 years interest cash back.

Btw, do u think I shd take guaranteed COE?

Pls advise. Tks.

din know VIOS now so cheap??? no need to go for guarantee COE, save up the $1k. confirm can get car lorrr. if for me, go for VIOS...at first i oso tout of getting Sirion, oso test drive couples of time, in the end, choose Honda JAZZ w/o test drive over sirion, OMV higher than Sirion, more marketable than Sirion, resale higher than Sirion, its a HONDA...of cos ppls/ SE will blah blah...but in the end, choice is yours!!! at that time the Sirion price is $58988 auto sport model, now drop so FAST...Y? maybe Sirion not marketable in local, even showroom at Kallang is rather quiet, SE more than onlookers??? by the way u can squeeze out from your sirion SE, things like Vkool, r sensor, alarm, mp3 player, scuff plate, exhaust tip. Ask him show u the accessories file. Trust me, i almost sign on the dotted paper!!!

Sirion interior and headroom will be much more spacious than Vios.

Off topic, if you are willing to compromise and get brand new Accent 1.3M for only $42,444, you save $10K.

Accent may drink a bit more (minimal), but the outright savings on your monthly installments means you can have some spare cash on hand every month.

For Accent, you not only save $10K off purchase price, you also save $3K off loan interest over 10 yrs - total savings of $13K.

Take note that for Vios and Sirion, you are paying $15.6K in interest over 10 yr, based on $52K loan ovr 10 yr at 3% p.a.

Whatever your choice, my advise is to take minimal loan and pay as much upfront cash as you have, and take 7 yr loan as possible to minimise your interest payable.

Where it is Accent or more expensive Sirion or Vios, they share one common aspect - all have 4 wheels and can get you safely from point A to B.

We have 2 forumers here selling selling Hyundai cars - Redeel & RadX. Am sure they can give you a sweet deal. [thumbsup]

So far so good, no problems. [thumbsup] Like what some of the MCFers said, the car is a bit pricey (I bought at $59.5k) and of cos can easily get a Vios but I prefer the bigger interior space for the Sirion.

Tks for all inputs.

I'm wondering too why the showroom in Pandan and Boon Keng is so quite. There's not even any onlooker.

Pls advise on how to squeeze freebies from the SE cause the SE is already giving me Nappan Leather which cost $800. So I think a bit diffcult.

As for Accent, I have some reservation for Korean Car. Heard from friends and forums that it's not so reliable and FC very high.

Aidan, is the performance of your Sirion good? What freebies did you get from the SE? Is your sports version?

Hi, I got the sirion sports model 1.3 auto. So far FC is about 15-16km/l. The car is only a month old so still need to monitor. So far got no complaints about the car, its nice to drive and roomy. (my wife and me are 1.8m tall, hehe)

the only thing is STS SE don't seem eager to push their sales. Mine was done by this blur man at their bendemeer showroom. But in the end managed to squeeze reverse sensor, window tint, car alarm from him.
