Heard they chop roberts one. Mostly mods for Jap makes, didnt find anything interesting for me.

Last time, when they were still in Autobacs and I was still driving the Fiat Uno, I got a stare from them when I enquired abt what they can do for an Uno. They looked at me like as if I was asking them if they sell char kuay teow. It was a 5 second stare before they replied, NO. So embarrassing.

Been to the new shop at Ubi. The 1st time I went there, I stepped in to look see look see and found that Mcwell is nothing but a garage now... w/o any accessories or CAIs stuffs anymore. Disappointed, I stepped out andjust before I got into my car and head for Jimmy Audio upstairs, I realised McWell showroom is upstairs... so stupid. They have a 2 storey set up now. 1st storey is garage and 2nd storey is their showroom. Very much like the Southern City mod shop in JB.

Anyone has been to McWell to mod or buy their stuff? How's their pricing and service quality?

Thanks! [;)]

Prices are steep...for certain stuff...mostly for honda cars...I've been there quite often ...so far serviced my ATF there, installed my SAFC there (bought off friend), changed brake pads and some other stuff...bought drop in from there...but quite expensive...but I go back there cos the people there recognise me ...dun like to go to strange places with strange people if u know what I mean :)

ok lar...they give me some discount ...hahahaha [:|] not as much as I would've preferred though...I don't really expect much....unless I start hanging out at a new place and get to know the people there.... its cos I feel OK when I'm there.... Pat and I go there when we got nothing to do ...hahahaha [:p] in fact...Pat's more friendly with the people there than me...'cos I don't talk much in real life.... on the internet...I blabber away [:p]

Yesterday went down for K&N filter, a big boy came to assisted but can't help that much, and turned to a lady and also no help after they'd searched all the info. She claimed no stock but called for ordering(possible that SWork), after the phoen talk, she told me it's take two weeks times, I reconfirm the serial number for the filter, she replied MK1, MK2 & MK3 (my mondeo) is using the same airbox, so filters are the same. I went back and checked with K&N (UK site) the issue, they replied cannot be used and will harm the engine! So I've order from Taiwan the mondeo club better than McWell, although it still have 3yrs free maintenance.

I've heard that Mcwell used to be friendly especially one of the bosses DON. But now degenerating to another "one of those" garages.

U should have headed down to Cartronics with the K&N part no. as they are one of the stockist for K&N in Singapore.

How much is your K&N from Taiwan? [;)]

Not buy yet, they sell K&N @ TW$2000 =~S$104.00, and splitfire wire set @TW$2500. My bro-in-law works in Taiwan, he helps to bring back. BTW where's Cartronic?

Cartronics is along Frankel Ave, after a Caltex Station towards East Coast Rd direction. The shop is at a corner of the first row of the shop houses after the Caltex. They quoted my Volvo K&N for $85 [:)]

McWell seems to be the market leader in beng-mods after their successful stint in Autobacs and agressive marketing in local mags like Wheels.

Amazing how the editor of the magazine gives so much write-ups on them & their pdts .... until you see McWell advertising quite extensively and regularly in the mag which gives you the reason why.
