Is there any way to DIY painting the car dashboard?

Wanna change and brighten up the look of my old car.

I'm thinking of recolouring my dashboard too. However i went around checking for this service...so far no luck. So...i gave up...looking...DIY...i tot of using those round pad that r for applying wax or something like that...to colour using some paints...but not sure of wad kinda paint to use...any idea?

wrap better? all those paints used paint release all the VOC vapor when parked under hot sun, prone to cracking, etc...

u can wrap /stitch the whole dashboard in leather/pvc , if its able to detached easily, at 83 tagore lane , costly though if u let them do the labor of taking out the dashboard, cheap if u can take it out on your own.

, wrapping the dashboard in pvc/leather does help in soundproofing from the engine bay , a bit. fyi. but not every car can do it , if u have a airbag on the dashboard , answer is nono , u can only take out the plastics on the dashboard to spray , spraying the dashboard itself is possible but it is too costly due to the airbag being there.

 

ps, for older cars, 90's 00, 01 , cars , its ALOT easier.

any has experience of doing sticker wrap at ADK at ubi ave3? thinking of going there to wrap the worn out plastic parts in my ride

only know of this guy able to restore sticky dashboard and interior back to normal. Colour changing of dashboard can only be from light to darker colourm had ny very badly scratched headlights polished. Done mine with this guy. So far he is the only one in the market doing that.
