[hur]

I had also just install the following ICE and wld like to seek experts' opinion in tuning Time Correction and Bass-focus. I am using my Stock HU (Alpine 560 series)

1) Front speaker; Focal Polyglass 165V2 6 inches component speakers that comes with tweeters and crossover but dunno what model.

2) Placed under the small tables in between driver and front passenger's seat; Bazooka 6100 6 inches Active woofer

My preference for music includes 80s pop and Linkin' Park's kind. Occassionally also Leslie Cheung and Jackie Cheung.

Hope someone can advice from here.....

What kind of tuning?

If basic tuning to protect the speakers from damage and synchronisation of gains on all the amps so the even when full volume also will not damage the speaker, then I can help u FOC. Took abt 20 minutes if u have 2-3 amps. Best is monoblock for the subwoofer, easier.

But if u need those super audiophile type of sound quality, space, staging, imaging, tuning...I also duno, still trying out on my own system. My Alpine 9855 is getting me crazy. And digging my ears real hard to hear the difference with every difference crossover frequency I choose for each of my tweeter and woofer and subwoofer. Time alignment have to wait. Settle the centralised setup first.

hi,

i suggest u tune it yourself...save the money. [laugh][laugh]. im sure u'll be able to do just as good a job as any tuner. Yes, the prof tuner might have tons of experience n worked on many cars, but hey....end of the day......its your car, u spend everyday listening to your setup, u know wheres the gap. Whereas a tuner only spend 2hrs max on your car, and especially for drivers hes never worked on be4......u better off tuning it yourself. If unsure.ask members on here or sgsoundsystem for advice...im sure people will be willing to help. [laugh]

on another note,

wow...redliner...wat great gear u have. MIlberts, zapcos n ribbonssss............YEAHHHHH. when can i audition mannn......btw do u use your LCY as a super tweeter to play the higher fhz range. Great man.

Tuning at the highest level is an art form. For those of you who think that it is just twiddling with a couple of knobs, I suggest you do a search and read up. Here are some articles:

http://www.termpro.com/articles/articles.html

It will give you an idea of how MUCH WORK proper tuning involves

I really believe (unless the tuner is your friend or brother) that there is no such thing as cheap and high quality. I'll give you guys a couple of examples:

Vincent from Pin Liang charges $200+ for basic tuning. Thats just basic tuning of a passive system.

Sam from Swift Motion charges $800 for basic tuning, for an active system, the cost is more than $1000, and you have to leave your car at his shop for at least 3 days.

Both are good, but those of you who have heard sam's cars before will know where the money has gone.

I do my own tuning so I know the hours involved. Eveytime I install something new, it takes me a couple of months or so (tuning several hours a week) to get it to sound ok, to sound good is another level altogether that I have not reached yet.

I think for the ICE industry here to grow, we need to move away from this SG "I want cheap, good with big tits" mentality.

I came across the other forum on discussion of ICE Tunning [gossip] , and there is audio shop owner

who uses the blackbox to do audio tunning, few bros are very happy with the outcome after tunned. I heard the charges is about $100, you can call Randy - 97878815 for enquiry.

Please let us know more if you do engage Randy's service [:)] .

wow 600 seems super ex [lipsrsealed]

system cost to tuning cost ratio seems like very low...lol

did it include RTA tuning or any scope etc?

600 for tuning is NOT expensive at all~~~ considering TUNING is not just twisting and turning of knobs, it's the prefessionalism!

You pay an Interior Designer also thousands of dollars , just to slap paints here and draw there meh?

Heh heh just MHO. [:)]
