Huggable Clutched December 20, 2002 Share December 20, 2002 Just remembered that Chips Away at Paya Ubi does paint touch-up for cars. I was there to get my windscreen polished (to rid of a scratch). They claim to be specialised in touch-up repairs, and quick turn-around time. Perhaps you can give him a call? The website is below... http://www.chipsaway.com.sg/

Saaber Neutral Newbie December 21, 2002 Share December 21, 2002 I did use chipaway 3 years ago for minor respray of the rear bumper....at first ok, but after a few days, under bright light you can see light and dark patches due to uneven painting or the layer is too thin....lousy job done.....bad experience.... Phalanx Neutral Newbie January 9, 2003 Share January 9, 2003 I did use chipaway 3 years ago for minor respray of the rear bumper....at first ok, but after a few days, under bright light you can see light and dark patches due to uneven painting or the layer is too thin....lousy job done.....bad experience.... Yep, you're right. Went to ChipsAway to get my Toledo bumper done due to minor paint scratched (too bad read this thread too late). Chipsaway did a terrible job, though the paint was matched correctly as I gave them the paint code, their application of the clearcoat was terrible. Did it yesterday and found out this morning that the paint work was no longer shiny and as smooth. Went back today and they tried polishing and polishing but I knew that at that rate, the clear coat would have vanished. Gave me stupid excuses and asked me to pay for the costs of respraying the clearcoat but no way man... Moral of the story: Stay far away from Chips Away for their lousy workmanship and pricing.
