Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Sounds like they were pretty upset at their lackluture performances this year. The question of course is: Is there going to be an Evo VIIII and X (the VIII is all but ready)?
Lightspeed Clutched December 12, 2002 Author Share December 12, 2002 They're thinking of using the Colt instead of the Lancer! (probably after seeing the success of the Focus and Pug206 ) The new Evo8 is on sale already but will only arrive in March ... If they manage to pull it off with the Colt...let's hope the price of Evos drop Who cares if the px of the Colts soar???
Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Actually even the Focus is having a hard time keeping up with the 206, because it's from a size class down (same class as the Fiesta) with the same power, and the shorter wheelbase gives it extra maneouverability, one of the reasons why it blasted everyone else away... Lightspeed Clutched December 12, 2002 Author Share December 12, 2002 It'll never end? Ford with switch to the Fiesta while Mitsubishi will switch to the Colt and then.... 206 will switch to 106 and the mighty Rex will switch to the new Vivio (if there's one)!!!! no more muscle cars
Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Well, power-wise 300hp is in my books still muscle territory... You think Ford's Rallye Concept is a veiled hint at replacing the Focus WRC?
Lightspeed Clutched December 12, 2002 Author Share December 12, 2002 Think I read somewhere that they're gonna use the Fiesta in some other rallies but not the WRC To me... muscle cars are like the Rex and the Evos...big and powerful Hatches in the WRC are just cute fast cars to me
Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Wow. I wouldn't dare call a Focus RS (at two-thirds the power of the WRC) "cute" by any means...
Lightspeed Clutched December 12, 2002 Author Share December 12, 2002 heh heh .... powerfully cute???
Jman888 Moderator December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 is that a real car or juts a graphic thing..... If it is the driver who does the wonder, maybe Citron will give them a run this year

Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 It's a real concept, which could mean anything... Yeah, time to change allegiences?
Jman888 Moderator December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 "Yeah, time to change allegiences? " hmmm......... actually when i was looking for a new car 4 mths back, did compare C5 with Focus, sh** make the wrong stand
Seansene 1st Gear December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Compare Focus with C5? Wah, your price range quite large, eh?
Renegade Neutral Newbie December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 Wow. I wouldn't dare call a Focus RS (at two-thirds the power of the WRC) "cute" by any means... Why not ? Personally i think it's rather cu.... Then again, maybe they should consider a Focus RS sedan - now that would be cute.
Hitman Neutral Newbie December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 I think its for the same reason Mitsubishi and Pug does not take part in F1. Peugeot did but pulled out after the Prost team went bankrupt. Very tight resources .... look at Ford. They take part in both and are in trouble financially, not too mention not doing too well in both series.
Jman888 Moderator December 12, 2002 Share December 12, 2002 well, i was also considering the CRV which was my 1st choice but end up with the Focus C5 in some ways quite similar to the Focus, dun u think so?? ↡ Advertisement
