Classes of driving license in singapore

Hi all out here,

 

Does anyone know any link to any website which i can look for information on the classes of license in Sg?

I thought of taking class 4 license and the vocational license but cant find any info on this.

BBDC driving centre not offering....

In Singapore, you can aquire the Class 3 license in any one of the driving centres like SSDC, BBDC and only with a Class 3 licence can you proceed to take a Class 4 and/or Class 5.

 

To my knowledge which might not be so up to-date, you can take the Class 4 /5 license at the old Jurong Stadium ( maybe some forumers here can confirm). Again in my time, the standards for acqiuring these higher Class license are not so stringent compared to Class 3 and you would not need to spend so much to pass it .

I already got class 3 long time.... i heard abt the old Jurong Stadium.. but where do i actually register and stuff like that.. how much is it to pass it.. etc etc..... can any forumers advise on this?

 

Also is there such a license call vocational license? The license allows u to drive those mini tour bus....??

Oh, in that case sorry to disappointed you....can't teach you for free anymore..hehehe.. since you are not what you seem like in your avatar!

 

To my knowledge you can just go there ( old stadium) and ask any of those Ah Pek you see there.

 

In my time, it works something like this. There is an office where the authority have testers there assigned to test drivers who are taking the test on test day. But for lessons, you would have to approach those private operators ( that is why those Ah Peks sit there) who represent different private schools. Seems to me then that they were loosely organised.

 

Ask around ( i.e ask more than one or two Ah Peks) for better rates and terms and condition as each operator might be a little different in their 'business operation'.

 

This is as far my present knowledge goes could be a lot different now...( more Ah Peks or more organised?..hahaha)

 

As for vocational license, this is a license if you want to take up a particular trade like to drive a taxi, be a school bus operator which need to be accompanied by the appropriate license(s) ( Class 3 &/or Class 4)and you might need to undergo certain tests and examinations to acquired them. The LTA controls and gives out such licenses. Their web// www. lta.gov.sg.

there wl be people fm those private school at jurong stadium in the evening where most of the driving lesson takes place. ask and register with them.

 

fr vocational license, apply with lta. btw, some mini bus (if i not wrong, 25 seater)needs only class 3.

Thanks for the info dude... seems like there is no proper organization that conducts class 4 license matters yah... will kanna a not ah.. i dunno roughly the fee is how much.....
