Mzrmazda3 6th Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Bro, your fc abit on the high side leh You always kui your i-vtec? Maybe, you can do grounding, voltage stabilizer, z-stab ... etc and see if there is any improvement.
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 Nop ! Usually just myself.

Panda Neutral Newbie April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Erm... then other than those slightly bigger wheels, care to share what else you did with your ride?
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 Nothing. Except that it is a repossessed car. I don't know what the previous owner has done to it ?!
Falc 3rd Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 What's your percentage of city to highway drive?
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Kui your i-vtec meaning you always ram til 5.5K on your rpm to open your vtec? Since you only put to D so your i-vtec shouldn't have kui.
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 City = 80% Expressway = 20% ( only can go about 60-80 km/h ) Highway = 0% ( I mean NS Highway )
Vtim 3rd Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 it's not normal, have you check your tyre pressure??? just a note, your original tyre size is 195/65/R15, so for 17", you should go for 205/50/R17 instead of
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 i-Vtec boh kui lah. Light footed = drive around 1500-2500 rpm only. Usually less than 2000 rpm.
Panda Neutral Newbie April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Hmm looks like you have alot of driving in slow traffic or stop and go traffic. Do you have erratic idling problems?
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 Obviously, I am not a car techno person. Will check again the size. But assuming 215, what is the right tyre pressure ? ( I pumped 220, front and back )
Tploh Clutched April 15, 2005 Author Share April 15, 2005 No erratic idling problem. Thank god !
Falc 3rd Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Your high city drive ratio may contribute partly to the high FC. Well ... troubleshooting FC is really tough, many potential suspects. Perhaps for a start, can head down kah motor and ask them if they can do a diagnostic check on your car with OBDII for any error code.
Genie47 1st Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Wait for Redz and Zakuii to come in. They have reported good FC with the Stream after some maintenance tricks like using 10W30 or 5W20 oil.
Dtvox Neutral Newbie April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 City driving is the major killer of FC. When I drive 20% City and 80% Highway, FC around 11 to 12km/l. When I drive 80% City and 20% Highway, FC around 8km/l. So I don't think its a problem. ↡ Advertisement
