Yeobh 4th Gear April 14, 2005 Share April 14, 2005 Get a Digital MultiMeter ( DMM)design mainly for auto electricians. As for measurng pressure, you will need a transducer that come with plugs to suit your DMM. The reading will be in DC volt. The set-up will be in the region of more than S$1k. Genie47 1st Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 In youir opinion, are refractometers good enough for antifreeze concentrations? I intend to throw in the long life stuff (read: Dexcool or maybe Toyota red or Prestone's GM approved OAT). Hence I need to monitor the antifreeze levels instead of changing it every year. I do have access to portable pH meters and metal ion testers.
Yeobh 4th Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Lately refractometers make in china under various US and European brand names, for checking coolant, battery charge and brake fluid, are very cheap as compare the very high quality units from Leica ( len maker) Refractometers are getting very popular in the auto service market and are quickly replacing the exisitng conventional testers like battery hydrometer, coolant anit-freeze tester and PH tester. Hope this helps PS thanx for the bid, the good is ready pack for shipping via reg post

Genie47 1st Gear April 15, 2005 Share April 15, 2005 Actually for the temperature part, you can get away with.............temperature thermometers for baby baths. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2298/article.html With this secret out I guess all the chiongers, tiong chia owners and CAI mod freaks will be raiding Mothercare, Kiddy Palace and Kidsmall. "You got baby bath temperature thermometer. Decal type?" "Yes sir we have. For your baby?" "Yes! She has 200 horsepower and roars very loud!" "Huh?"
