Honga CVT question..

Hi all,i would like to enquire something. I have heard alot

about Honda bad reputation CVT gearbox.Some even say kena

change up to 5 times.. But Jazz and Fit uses CVT also,

But from what i know, they say the car use timing chain,

not timing belt ,so how? Will CVT give

problems again? thanks...

The CVT gave problems to lots of EK and early gen of ES Civic. The EK was traced to a faulty component in the clutch. It was rectified a few years back. So the current batch of CVT should not have such problems.

 

Another reason could be the higher bhp of the Civic that made the CVT failure.

 

Try to go to the Fit/Jazz club to check if they still got such problems.
