Tien Neutral Newbie April 10, 2005 Share April 10, 2005 moderators, this is GROUP BUY, not selling, so hope this thread wont be removed. Products: 1. Dent out Kit 2. Ion Air Purifier (Vehicle) Product 1: need no explanation. This is for fixing those dents we get from parking beside inconsiderate air-holes who swing their car doors open really hard. Usual price at Stanford Tyres is $89. The seller is willing to give us special price of $80 (around 10% discount). Each kit, from what i understand, is good for fixing around 50 dents. do note that not all dents can be removed. we need to order a minimum qty of 3 sets in order to enjoy the discount. Product 2: Safe negative ion and activated oxygen or O3 levels produced by the purifier reach every corner to oxidize airborne contaminants and pollutants. As a result, the contaminants become completely harmless. The level of emission is in line with FDA, OSHA and Singapore NEA IAQ standards. The unit also doubles as a freshener: comes with a fragrance box for keeping your favourite scent pallets. Usual price is $39.95, special price $35 (around 13% discount). We need minimum order of 6 units. Those who are interested pls put your name down. Payment and collection (most likely at Kallang Mac) will be arranged at a later date. Tien Neutral Newbie April 10, 2005 Author Share April 10, 2005 this is the kit those paintless dent removal workshops use.... dents on flat surface shouldnt be a problem. those at the edge or curve may have problem.... see below on how to use, then you should have a better idea of what can and cannot be removed
Tien Neutral Newbie April 10, 2005 Author Share April 10, 2005 Dent-out Kit (How to use?) 1. Using the glue gun, apply the special adhesive to the correct sized dent lifter. Be careful not to touch the hot glue. 2. Immediately place the dent lifter lightly in the center of the dent and wait about 2 to 3 minutes for the glue to set. 3. Place the cross bar onto the dent lifter and place the wing nut on the dent puller thread. 4. Tighten the wing nut until the metal flexes slightly above the normal contour. Many times the dent puller pops off the car at this point. 5. Apply a few drops of release agent to the glue, and it will easily separate from your car. 6. Wipe the area clean with a soft cloth and repeat if necessary.

Tien Neutral Newbie April 10, 2005 Author Share April 10, 2005 compared to $50 to fix 1 dent if you go to those providing the service? $80 per set. can fix 50-60 dents. 1 dent only cost you $1.6 plus some time and effect. i think quite worth the price right? Tien Neutral Newbie April 11, 2005 Author Share April 11, 2005 (edited) the unit does come with a cable but frankly, i have no idea how long the cable is... if you wanna stretch it all the way from the front (assuming your cig lighter outlet is somewhere around the HU) to the back, it may not be long enough. however, if you only intend to place the unit near your handbrake, the cable should be long enough. why not you measure and let me know how long you need. i will call the supplier and ask him as to how effective it is.... cant really say hahaha how do you accurately measure such thing as "fresher air"? furthermore, i dont have one yet so cant really "quote from experience". why am i buying then? well, let's just say i fell for the sales brochure and thought this thingy may be somewhat useful... Lanceteo Neutral Newbie April 11, 2005 Share April 11, 2005 (edited) ic ok anyway.. i was thinking to conenct it in such a way that once i turn on the engine the thing starts. i do not like to have it installed to my cig lighter hole. i think is unsighlty. is this possible? how much do u think i will cost? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited April 11, 2005 by Lanceteo
Tien Neutral Newbie April 11, 2005 Author Share April 11, 2005 if i remember correctly, the model also XJ-something.... could be in the same series i think. but judging from the pics, think my lobang probably smaller compared to yours.
Tien Neutral Newbie April 11, 2005 Author Share April 11, 2005 hehehe that's what i have in mind also.... if cant get enough order for 3 sets, will gather a few kakis and share 1 set instead. i have 6 dents, how many you have?
Tien Neutral Newbie April 11, 2005 Author Share April 11, 2005 the unit has a on/off switch, just switch it to "on" and eveytime you start engine, the unit will be "on" the unit is a consumer product and should come as it is. if you wanna modify the wiring a little.... i think no big issue cos it's after all just an electrical item. cut away the cig lighter connector, connect the individual wires to the appropriate ones behind the dashboard, there you go! you can even extend the wire if you like! but of course, you got to DIY or get someone who knows such stuff to help you. i m a plug n play person ↡ Advertisement
